I always liked Tito.
At least you got to witness a countryman at the top, I was in that boxing thread yesterday shedding tears over Joan Guzman and what could have been.
As an adult, it's probably impossible for me to take a loss hard. For me to take a loss hard, it would have to be someone I grew up on, because watching them fight makes me feel like a kid again. These newer guys can't take me to that place.
Anyway, it would definitely have to be Tyson/Douglass. I was only 6, but watched boxing all the time & of course Tyson was my favorite because of the flashy knockouts. I didn't see the fight live, but heard the result. I was so disgusted I still haven't seen the fight. I refuse to watch it.
I hear you..for fighters I grew up on as a kid me I guess would be watching sweet pea's demise...what an undignified way for a career of one of the greatest fighters ive ever watched to end..old and coked out getting his collarbone broke by a journeyman
They stopped all that legend killer shyt though when Tarver beat the shyt out of him ..green was mad humbled after thatRJJ v Danny Green
I know Roy was well and truly shop worn by this time, but seeing him get stopped in the 1st round by bum ass, average-as-fukk Danny Green KILLED me. What hurt even worse was the Australian media gassing Green up for about a month afterward, calling him the 'Legend Killer' and shyt, like he didn't just land a lucky punch against a washed up, 40 something year old former champion who would have fukking MURDERED him in the ring in his prime.
The whole thing still legit pisses me off.
