Kobe put up 25/5/5 in 02. McGrady and Pierce put up better numbers. Not because they were better, but because of who Kobe played with. Stats don't tell everything. Kobe was a much better player than his stats indicated and was certainly better than Pierce.

Look, KG was not a #1 option or a closer on the Celtics in 08 okay? He played stellar defense and averaged 18 points a game and the Celtics would not have been a contender without him. But he couldn't even get Minny out of the first round when he was really a top 5 player much less when he was past his prime. He was the best offensive complementary player in the league. He wasn't top 5.

And I don't know why you're disrespecting Howard like he didn't have a monster 08. 20 points, 14 rebounds, 2 blocks, excellent defense. He had 7 20/20 games that year.
