It really is such a drastic drop in entertainment when you go from watchin dese TNT nikkas to dem wack nikkas on ESPN countdown. TNT needs to just handle everything NBA.

ABC has been horrible period with their NBA coverage post NBC.

punk ass mods getting they mel yeah on.

:beli:

I havent even merged anything.

BKdagawd wants post game threads for the random thoughts.

He can still do it physically, just not as consistently as he used to. Kobe can't at all now. Kobe gets by on pure skills. Wade's impact is still top 5. He is still an elite two way player. Kobe isn't. Kobe is borderline top 10. Players fall off. Deal with it. Father time stops for no one.

Wade is definitely falling off though. I doubt he is top 5 next year.

everytime i start to think "wow, greatest lakers know some shyt" you go off and say some dumb shyt about kobe

How in the hell is his impact top 5 when he played with the MVP. Stop switching arguments.

He did not have more impact than

Bron
Durant
Paul
Kobe
Dwight

:laff:

Kobe, Lebron and Chris Paul are the only players that had an argument over KG that year.

Dirk? Maybe, but Garnett's defense gives him the edge.

Melo? fukk no.

Dwight? The Dwight you see today isn't the player that he was back then. So hell no.

I can't believe the amount of stupid shyt I see on this forum everyday.

Dwight Howard averaged more points and more rebounds than KG that year so what the fukk are you talking about? It wasn't pretty, but his game was effective. Melo and Dirk were better too because they were first option scorers and closers. Maybe Melo wasn't better, but definitely Dirk. KG was a top 5 player in the early and mid 2000s but he was past his prime at that point. He wasn't top 5 on Minny the year before and he didn't magically become top 5 just because he joined a stacked team. He was a complementary offensive player at the point.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Wade. He was hurt, but he still averaged 24, 6, and 4 on a shytty team. KG was definitely not top 5 that year. I'm disappointed in yall.

:wtf:@this chorus of people talking about KG being top 5 in 08 and citing him being 3rd in MVP voting like that means anything. MVP voting goes to the best player on good teams. I'm sure Parker finished in the top 5 this year and he's certainly not a top 5 player in the league. KG wasn't even the first scoring option on his team in 08 or the closer. He was a helluva defender, but I wouldn't say he was a top 5 player that year. He was paired with two future HOFs in a big 3 trio.

Kobe
Lebron
Dirk
Paul
Howard or Melo

:stopitslime:
smh breh the Mav's were 7th place and the Nuggets were 8th place that season. KG>Howard defensively and offensively. smh at KG not being 1st option when he was the best player on the C's squad that year and the leading scorer for the C's in the playoffs. smh at not being the closer, so does that not mean Lebron is not a great player or the best player than? yea, but instead of forming a trio and failing like the Lakers did in 04 or the Heat last season, the C's actually succeeded, and KG>both Ray Allen & Paul Pierce easily that year and career wise. The C's became the #1 defensive team that year because of KG. come on now, you are just hating hard now hard if you don't think KG was not a top 5 player in 08.

You're trynna paint the picture like I'm aruging Kobe is still the best in the L or some shyt, I see you.

Kobe is a first option still in his 16th season, has to do more than Wade and plays more games while putting up First team All NBA team numbers, but he's not better:laff:

alright

Garnett shared the ball with two other all-star players and played 5 minutes less than Howard.....

KG was definitely better than Howard. He was still a top 5 that last year with Minny. :what:

I'm not even going to bother arguing about Melo being better than KG. That's just silly talk.

Kobe put up 25/5/5 in 02. McGrady and Pierce put up better numbers. Not because they were better, but because of who Kobe played with. Stats don't tell everything. Kobe was a much better player than his stats indicated and was certainly better than Pierce.
