It's not an all or nothing situation like you keep trying to make it out to be.

Hardware is important, new Xbox console sales from users in the PS ecosystem will be a huge driving factor in the increase of gamepass subs.


Hardware is also important because regardless of how amazing gamepass is Xbox start was with hardware so an all digital no hardware Xbox isn't a realistic reality RIGHT NOW nor in the immediate future of the next 2-5 years.


An all digital game library is still not ironed out. So no hardware for Xbox definitely isn't happening. However when the time does come Xbox will be the most ready to make the shift instead of being caught in a position like Sony is now when it comes to having to find other sources of revenue besides 3rd party % splits and selling a stupid amount of hardware.

2024 is gonna be rocky for them financially unless the pro is dropping at the end of the year

You literally got half the xbox contingent saying they are gonna drop hardware and the other half saying they are gonna kill the current line early, but yes all going according to plan over there

The software side is looking even more dire on the other side of starfield. The biggest game they have for 2024 is a 6 hour movie game

you dont play windows based games on linux ... majority of planet earth doesnt know linux is a thing or how to execute on it

dropping a mid spec pc (which is a console) just puts other options out in the market


if microsoft... one of the biggest corporations in the universe cared about "only profit"
they wouldnt allow you to steal their products, emulate shyt and share pirated shyt
you can put an authentic windows disk in a PC and it will ask "did you already use this before"
you can type "no" and its like "alright who cares... press next to install"

xbox is just what it is at any point, microsoft is fine. Sony kills their market and nintendo does their own thing... I dont see the problem with that
