as long as he isn't abusing players his resume IMO should grant him a couple of years of leeway.
Literally a couple of years. His resume aint shyt.

calm the f*ck down.. Mike Leech is a headcase and a weirdo, we all know this. But at the same time WSU has been one of the worst programs in D1 football for the past 4-5 years in a row. Besides all the rah rah and emotion, what do you suggest they do seriously? Fire him? This is his first year in at WSU and he hasn't had his recruiting class in yet. Put this in a court who wins.. Is Mike Leech back at it once more or is he trying to change a losing culture at WSU??
-You got that lack of practice sh*t here at UCLA football. They have a tradition twice a year where the whole team ditches practice. And the coaching staff over the years let them get away with it. Jim Mora, now currently in his first year with the school, says whoever participates in ditch day will be kicked off the team. now that ditch day sh*t is gone
-you're just gonna have to let this one pan out. The truth will reveal itself.
Every other bcs conference coach in america...who are you comparing him to?
Well right now the ball is in his court. WSU is desperate for any type of winning season this guy can possibly give them. If they were a winning or at least a solid program throughout the years then hey, he might be under the gun right now. He had some nice seasons at Texas Tech. And if you're not impressed with what he did there all a coach has to say in rebuttal is that a school like Texas Tech doesn't spend the money on its football program like a Oklahoma or Texas does.I dont think i was suggesting he gets fired...but idk what other coach can run their best players off the team in week ten and get a pass

On a micro sense, the coaches who got "promotion" jobs at about the same time, like rich rod, brian kelly, lane kiffen, brady hoke, mike leach, All have had a season as good as mike leach's best already, and can go fukkin 7-5 whenever they want
fukkin mark mangino was about as big of an a$$hole, won more and got fired from fukkin kansas
the coaches you mentioned have pretty much ended up at schools at or above the caliber of washington state. so then what is the issue with leach at wash st.? is he not at the caliber of school his resume would suggest? I suppose I might lean toward your views if he was at a caliber of school higher than what his resume would suggest was warranted. do you feel that is the case?
Nah i hear you....i just find it odd that he can run scholarship recruits out the door and best-in-position in decades guys out...midseason...by being a douchebag...and its all good

Dear Cougar Nation:
It is with a heavy heart that I announce my decision to forgo playing football for Washington State University. I realize the school is saying that I am suspended for violating team policies and may return next week, but this is a lie. This is an attempt by the athletic department to cover up what is really happening in that locker room.
It is been a privilege to be a Cougar, to perform on your field and wear the Crimson and Gray. I would like to thank Washington State University for giving me the opportunity to do what I love most, to play football and receive a quality education for the past three years. Im grateful to the athletic department for the coaching, care and encouragement I have received prior to this season.
This was going to be our year. My teammates and I were aspiring to be the winning team you deserve. Unfortunately for all, the new coaching staff has destroyed that endeavor. I believe coaches have a chance to mold players, to shape men, to create greatness. However, the new regime of coaches has preferred to belittle, intimidate and humiliate us. This approach has obviously not been successful, and has put a dark shadow on this program.
My teammates and I have endured this treatment all season long. It is not tough love. It is abuse. This abuse cannot be allowed to continue. I feel it is my duty to stand up and shed light on this situation by sacrificing my drams, my education and my pride. I resign from this team. I am deeply sorry to those I am letting down. I am not a quitter. I was raised by my family, and many previous coaches to exhibit dedication and embrace sacrifice, but there comes a time when one has to draw a line in the sand.
Lastly, I thank my fellow teammates, those who also have left the program this year, and those we are leaving behind. I hope our departure will bring awareness to the physical, emotional and verbal abuse being allowed in the locker room and on the field. I pray for healing and recovery for all those who have been hurt by this treatment
Sincerely,
Marquess Wilson
