He knows he don't wanna practice for Leach.
Mike leach isnt more credible than most former offensive coordinators. His results at texas tech were identical to the coach before him save for 1 season...but he gets to go HAM at 19 year olds because...? And not only that, he gets a bigger leash than most coaches for general fukkery like being a loudmouth who dresses like a pirate. 
He was jobless for 2 years for a reason, and it aint espn. He will never win shyt at wsu and he'll blame it on the school. Mike leach is overrated as fukk. Of the late 00s hot-shyt coaches who moved up (rich rod, brian kelly, lane kiffen, brady hoke, mike leach, muschamp, etc) he is the fukkin worst

never understood the like for this guy. i guess it's cuz his teams score points (well his TT teams) and people like shiny things.

EVERY NFL coach and GM knows that when he has beef with his coach he quits. That's not to say he won't play in the NFL, but he just made his chances a whole lot slimmer.
We all know Leech is a nutcase but at the same time WSU has sucked for years and years now. They were so bad that they had open tryouts for QB like in the middle of the season two years ago

He is a good offensive minded coach. Head coaching skills leave something to be desired though.
I dont see the relevance but his record is better than the last couple of wazzu coaches
as long as he isn't abusing players his resume IMO should grant him a couple of years of leeway.
calm the f*ck down.. Mike Leech is a headcase and a weirdo, we all know this. But at the same time WSU has been one of the worst programs in D1 football for the past 4-5 years in a row. Besides all the rah rah and emotion, what do you suggest they do seriously? Fire him? This is his first year in at WSU and he hasn't had his recruiting class in yet. Put this in a court who wins.. Is Mike Leech back at it once more or is he trying to change a losing culture at WSU?? -You got that lack of practice sh*t here at UCLA football. They have a tradition twice a year where the whole team ditches practice. And the coaching staff over the years let them get away with it. Jim Mora, now currently in his first year with the school, says whoever participates in ditch day will be kicked off the team. now that ditch day sh*t is gone
