I like that not only did Big E win, he got a pretty strong match from Lashley. Kicked out of a pin after a finisher. And then Lashley didn't look weak in the L. Its been pretty good commotion around the titles for both smackdown and raw.

Been calling for Big E to be champion for years. Congratulations to him.

I do think they’ve done this far too late though, they could have done this many years ago and he could be so much a bigger star now.

Feels like there’s a sense of desperation due to people’s current feelings on the company. I wish they did this before the sentiment was so bad, I’m a big fan of Big E but haven’t watched WWE consistently for ages so would have liked to have seen him get his big push a while back as he’d had that talent.

I hope now he’s champion they finally give him what he deserves. A proper championship run to establish him and stories as he has charisma and can go in the ring too. He has gears he can step up to in the ring which is a sign of a talent. If they do it well he can succeed as champion but it’s going to be harder because of the timing as whole company creatively feels like in a slump. I hope they do right by him though.

As happy as I was/am for Big E, this really rubs me the wrong way. They just wasted a potential kofimania type storyline with Big E with a basic reactionary raw championship win due to AEW beating WWE in the ratings.

Now he’s thrown into the fire, and set up for failure due to them not building up to this whatsoever. His character isn’t ready for the belt yet. If they were gonna do this, they should’ve gave E the strap during Summerslam to avenge Kofis and Woods’ beat down, and used the Lashley/Goldberg feud for raw and saudimania without the belt.

THEY COULDVE GIVEN US LASHLEY VS LESNAR AT MANIA! Then let Big E cash in, and win for a mania moment……I hate to be negative, but they fukked this all up, and I don’t want it to affect him in the long run
