Billboard agrees:

Billboard's Hot 100 Producers of the decade - Billionaire Boys Club Blog

The Neptunes were lacing gems for Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, and alternative artists. Not only were they producing Top 10 hits left and right, but they were lacing entire albums for artists of different genres.

Is that supposed to be a subjective list or based on how many top hits these artists have because I find it hard to believe lil jon is ahead of the likes of dr luke and stargate, it really should be those two and the neptunes in the top 3

This is why the Neptune's were amazing.. They mostly handled everything from production to songwriting themselves:lawd:

Yeah the argument is tough one they did have a hand in all facets of music it seems and they were even artists themselves.

I think the coolest thing about their run is that when they were on top they did their thing in both Hip Hop and Pop music; from Jay-Z to Britney Spears.

I see what your saying but straddling the line between hiphop, pop, and R&B to me isnt too difficult because they are all intertwined in a way. Because hiphop is derived from other genres a producer with the talent can straddle the fence between those genres. It isnt as difficult as doing country, rock, and hiphop or something. For example take Justin Timberlake he was like a mix of hiphop, pop, and R&B altogether.

Billboard's list is based on the amount of songs that they've charted, where the songs peaked, and how long they remained in their peak positions. The list is also based on 2000-2009. A lott of Dr. Luke and Max Martin's biggest songs came after.
