Looking back did Jay Z's hard knock life Volume 2 deserve 4.5 mics?

It is, specifically because it was the album where Jay went from underground to mainstream, I have had this argument a couple of times but prior to this album Jay was a local east coast jersey/nyc giant and maybe known else where by die hard rap fans. After this jay ain't looked back I remember this being the first album I heard EVERYWHERE

The Boom Bap Era
If I should die
The flow on ngga what :scusthov:
The storytelling on A week ago and Coming of age 2
Peak level dark gunplay jay on Its like that :hhh:

Yall nggas are unserious. You can no longer separate emotion from just analyzing music.
Volume 1, Streets is Watching are far superior :manny:

Album sold millions of copies had multiple huge hits that still resonate and launched one of the most iconic tours of all time.
Anyone quibbling with 4.5 is just bringing personal preference into it.

nikka none of this has anything with nothing.

I didn’t realize just how much V2 has been sampled by the rap community until I looked it up. Everyone from fab, to Wayne, to Nipsey, to Pusha has eaten off this album.
