No.

I'm just saying that most of the Fayum portraits depicted Romans. Because it was their art style. Eurocentrics love using the Fayum portraits out of context. But the picture you posted were most likely mixed Egyptians.
Sorry I'm not well verse in some of things...I think I know more than the average person but I'm certainly no expert. so forgive me for my ignorance.

I've heard so many sides to Cleopatra that I can't really accept that either one is truth.

This should help you decide.

"Yes a son of Roxane or Barsine really is a fitting ruler for the Macedonian-Hellenic people! Even to utter his name will be offensive for Europe, since he will be mostly captive. Is that what defeating the Persians will have meant for us - being slaves to their descendants?" - Ptolemy I Soter; Quintus Curtius Rufus

"The reason that scholarship has not been more forceful in disproving this 'mixed' origins view is that they would have to admit to a death cult known as the Eleusinianmysteries [where all Ptolemiac Kings and Queens like Cleopatra were purely Greek-Macedonian] that would reveal how theories of enclaves and segregation were imposed under Ptolemaic rule by using religious principles for the purposes of European colonization and oppression. It is these principles that can be used to trace European expansion throughout history"

"The Ptolemaic Dynasty established purely Greek cult known as the Basileus(Savor God King in Greek) of Alexandria in honor of ATG, elevated the dead Hellenic king, who's body the Ptolemies stole and kept in Alexandria, to a state of god. The priest at the head of this cult was suppose to be of purely Greek origins, he was made the highest priest in the land and was named directly after the king."

"Even though they adopted Egyptian customs to a certain degree, the Ptolemaic kings and queens were Greek. They spoke Greek and they thought that Greek culture and peoples were better than Egyptian culture and peoples. Greek became the state language, and cities were renamed. In fact, the word"Egypt" is a Greek word (the Egyptian word is "Kmt" or Kemet). On the whole, native Egyptians occupied the lowest social positions." ~Washington State University

Like I said she came from a dynasty that discriminated against the native population. Like I said many times again; Eurocentrics only promote Cleopatra because that can't find a white Pharaohs before the Ptolemiac. If anything Cleopatra was a whore who was responsible for the finally destruction of Kemet.

Yep this is why Westerners and their Egyptomania obsess with their Cleopatra. Never see them obessing with Queen Tiye, Hatshepsut, Nefertiti or Nefertari. Who were FAR better Queens. Heck Netertari was more beautiful than Cleopatra...

Were the native Egyptians(that goes for the mixed ones too) the majority or at that point did they become a smaller class?
I've taken a couple of history classes and they always skip over the everything before the Ptolemaic dynasty and never explaining Egypt in the bronze age and if they do it's a lightweight discussion.

Hell yeah, Mesopotamian culture was the bulk of the first part of the course. I knew more about the code of hammurabi and the babylonians after that class than Egypt. It was actually a religions class were I found out more about Egypt and than anything..

Anything in Africa was basically behind European and Asian studies....

Crazy. When the letters we're using to type at this very moment has Egyptian ancestry. Egypt should have gotten more attention.

@KidStranglehold

what do you think the Ubaidians ethnic composition looked like?

do you think an ancient Saharan culture before humans migrated out of Africa is a plausible theory?

Not sure to be honest.

Far too early. Way too early. Before humans migrated out of Africa they would have mostly lived in Southeastern Africa and southern Africa.
