I already explained that, his contributions can extend beyond the physical when it comes to beings like Darkseid , Mongul etc....Despite the claims it was a cartoon him earning his place and showing his worth in the League has been shown a dozen times in the JL cartoons and comics without his position as an iconic character becoming under threat.

Do you have Faith in DC pulling that off? And Batman as depicted in The JL cartoons is way more bad ass than anything we've seen from him in any film form. The most realistic depiction of Batman as a JL member is in Justice League War. Thing is you can't afford to do that in a Justice League film because....We'll he's fukking Batman and we can't have him looking unrealistically under powered(which he is) There is no Prep Time in movies.

Currently I have zero faith in DC, and from the tonal change of the character from BVS to Justice League :scust:my lack of faith is warranted. In essence Batman will need to standout and should be the daredevil/maverick of the league. Have him do things that have the other leaguers just be in awe of him because despite them having gawd like powers simple man is doing the impossible.

Except for the fact that Hawkeye and Black Widow AREN'T BATMAN. They aren't the one of the most iconic characters in comics. Which is why OP is right. Having Batman in the Justice League is like having Me in the Justice League. Outside of his popularity in the comics he wouldn't BE in the Justice League. You can get away with that with Black Widow and Hawkeye. But how do you portray Batman in a Justice League film without making the 2nd most iconic character in comics look like well....Hawkeye and Black Widow?

:mjlol: Which they ironically fukked up when they decided Superman is down to kill a motherfukker. I think I said that years back wait a sec....

Batman can work within the context of a superhero team. The problem is in the films they've never given us a Batman that is a genius and master tactician.

You can't say Batman can't work because he's a human fighting alongside the others when people have no problem buying fukking Black Widow as a viable member of the Avengers. Hell, even on television people have completely bought into the idea of Green Arrow being one of the most important members of their JLA during crossovers.

Why don't yall get this THEY AREN'T BATMAN. Nobody gives a fukk about Black Widow or Hawkeye. They are just the human characters among Gods. You can't do that with Batman you need Batman to be a viable ass kicker in his on right. But because....well he's just a fukking human with money it doesn't work.

I'm not particularly a fan of either of those characters in the MCU, but lets stop with the "Nobody gives a fukk about Black Widow" shyt, given that people are still demanding she get her own movie and flip out if she doesn't have as much merchandise as the characters on the team.

And I already said the issue with Batman is that they never show him as a legit genius and master tactician. The Cinematic Batman relies too much on Alfred and his money. They need to establish Bruce as a legit polymath that thinks 5 steps ahead of everyone else. They also fukked up in the DCEU by having an older Batman around a bunch of younger heroes.

Breh, they ain't the X-Men, hell they aren't even the Avengers. They don't need a tactician Flash would mollywhop the Avengers by himself. And Superman would kill them all outside of Thor(If we are talking comics) and Hulk in minutes. They are literally the most powerful team ever assembled.

Op is partly right, and everybody else talking about willpower and determination are missing the point.

A man who trained to beat ninjas and muggers and wears spandex should never be in the same room as a Mongul, Darkseid or Despero. Batman outwitting gods or psychics is almost always involves somebody gripping the idiotball, and its not the one with the artificial pointy ears.

Batman threatening Darkseid with releasing the hellspores on Apokalips was the height of stupid, and only happened for the rule of cool. Love him in Gotham, ignore him when he goes visiting.

His best stories take place in his playground, outside of that setting, stupidity infects everyone around him to ensure he matters.

And they often fight threats that are just as and more powerful than they are, which is why at times they require someone with the smarts to get them the win. Every problem the Justice League faces can't be solved with brute force alone.

And it needs to be noted that Superman's arch nemesis is just a normal human that happens to be rich and one of the smartest men on the planet.

Now that I think about it, most of the Justice League's members villains are normal humans.

Flash - Captain Cold
Aquaman - Black Manta
Cyborg - Whiz kid or Toyman
Superman - Lex Luthor

Green Lantern and Wonder Woman are the only ones not struggling against "mere" humans.

That works in comics but not film.
