Of course not, they don't really care about the black fanbase and that's why they have trouble selling out arenas and getting high ratings. If Sasha, The Street Profits, Naomi, or any black wrestler were pushed the same way the average white wrestler was pushed they'd have much bigger attendance and ratings.
Vince doesn't realize that representation matters and the majority of the crowds at these shows are a representation of the major champs they have. Black folks aren't coming out to see Becky, Seth, or Bayley, but we will watch Brock because we like to see him tear shyt up(except not at the expense of Kofi). Wrestling has always had a problem connecting with the black fanbase, and that's why we only support it to a point.
this company has a misappropriation style.
They have no issue connecting with the black fanbase. They purposefully want to misappropriate anything black. Then act like they did it with no help from anyone predominately black.
When this company is built singlehandidly off two black men:
mr. T
mike tyson
the levels of misappropriation are so high.
that to this day,.....
mr t and Tyson should be model and marketd as the highest drawing components in all of wrasslin history.
the same way flair and Hogan are championed but more.
as without mr t, or Tyson. Neither would ever be known like that in general.
not to mention perception would never be skewed. To allow them on the big station in the news outlets just for starters.
as mr t, created and terraformed mainstream real news outlets and actual channel programming outlet pr for wwe.
before mr t,...wwe had no coverage period.
it only got coverage because of the national phenomenon and boom from eye of the tiger, rocky and most importantly, mr.t.
just like the second boom only occurred because of the drawing permeation of mike tyson. To give rub to the entire wwe and most importantly, scsa as well.
