Some people are taught to believe all black peoples are homogeneous, despite the opposite being true.Exactly..just as all Black Africans look today, varying shades of brown.
first off, I know the painting you speak of and it's a fake, google it. They almost always show themselves bronze, not various colours and some paintings, mostly the ones outdoors have eroded and changed colours, but the ones in the tombs ALWAYS show bronze.
strange, indians are indians or 'caucasian' but then when speaking of africans, you magically imply they are different people. indians come in different shades as do africans. you taking pride in all shades of indians is the same as black americans taking pride in the various shades of africa. but regardless, they still looked like horners, who we consider to be black. berbers are also black. everyone NATIVE to africa, consciously, is considered 'black'. the arabs that currently occupy egypt are not black, nor the same people.

His culture is all about created differences, like religious caste separation based on complexion.
fukk Ancient Egypt
all civilizations matter![]()
2017 and you still have people thinking ancient Egyptians weren't black.![]()
There's also people in the world that are black, their are Sri Lankans that are darker than me, but you know what they are, and I'm sure to some extent you associate with them. You do not view them as white, black, you view them as south asian. The point of the matter is, africans view egpytians as black africans, because they were. There are lots of people in the world that are "bronze," or even darker than bronze who we don't consider to be "black." You want to call the Egyptians "black" because of locality, and I have no problem with that. They are certainly black within the modern social context. But they couldn't have been "black" in the academic sense because there's no room for that type of characterization within THAT context. Otherwise, why don't we create a new racial category called "bronze" and put the Egyptians in that category? Would this be acceptable?

Who is taking pride in what? You used the word Caucasian, not me. The same people who came up with that word also consider horners to be Caucasians, but I doubt you would agree with that classification, for obvious reasons. Pakistanis and Sri Lankans ARE different people, I never said they were the same...only that they are technically the same "race" in that they are both technically "South Asian." But there is a world of difference between them in terms of culture, values, language, diet, religious practice, etc; which is what really matters when it comes to ethnic identification. When we consider things from that standpoint, physical characteristics mean very little.
All humans "create" ways to separate themselves from one another. Europeans by geography, Africans by tribes, Arabs by Clans, South Asians by caste....China is dominated by the Han ethnic group which pushed minority ethnic groups south, which is where you get the other types of Asians like Vietnamese, Thai, Burmese, etc; etc; this is what ALL humans do....and caste has nothing to do with complexion, that's been covered in other threads.
I want to know this toolol what is Black in the 'academic context'?
Eurocentric apologia y'all!
