That would have made those execs gay and Bobby shquestionable IMHO, but to answer your opinion yes. Someway, somehow, something has gone terribly, terribly wrong when you're dancing at the negotiation table breh :dead:

...but it doesn't make it gay when it's white execs? :patrice:

What are you implying?:patrice:

Dancing for another man in a non-public venue (e.g. a closed room) is #inherently reeking of lavender, lilies, etc. But c00ning supersedes gay. Prince is gay, but ain't nobody ever call him a c00n. This some c00n azz sh*t. If it was just black execs, it would be some :patrice: why these nikkaz makin' him dance by hisself in front of themwith the doors locked? I already been saying the Shmoney dance is some gay azz sh*t when I seen this nikka IN HIS OWN VIDEO (:dead:) with no gun pointed to his head start boppin' in front of a car like a crackhead askin' for some change :heh: But this some next level c00n sh*t. I ain't seen sh*t like this since my the chapter on ragtime in my high school history class :smugfavre:

:what: You really think this about the "music being good" or not?? Once again, he is a puppet being used to promote negativity to the black community. They are auditioning him to see if he fits every negative stereotype of the young black male. To the ppl in the room its all about the image and the content of the music. Remember, he is being pushed onto blacks so the content HAS to be about the hood, peddling dope and murder
man.. I couldn't even stomach watching this video. How can anybody in that room even recognize if his music is any good or not? Its like a Country artist trying to perform in front of me for a record deal...

Edit: just watched the rest..this video pisses me off..

looks like a audition to see if he is reckless and savage enough to "entertain" the masses.....

the reception from the "audience" :leon: that young"boy" gon make us alot of money....

whats crazy is dude could of made quadruple what he is going to make if he had a intact business minded independent team around him, he could be pushing his "shmurda dance" merchandise online, touring off of mixtapes, and eating healthy...

I don't even really blame him, as much. He's a young naive dude doing what he thinks it's going to take to get him out the hood.

The disgust on my end is watching a dude basically dance around and recite ignorance ass lyrics about committing violence against other people of color, while trying to impress and earn the approval of a bunch of white people (and LA Reid), as a result of a certain corporate structure and environment that they have created. I dunno man, the visual of that is just disturbing.

But just goes to show how the corporations have taken a culture that started on the streets and hijacked it for profit and monetization. This whole charade is a result of the corporations systematically feeding us bullshyt ignorance and tricking us into thinking it's what we objectively enjoy. Sad part is, kids go around reciting these dumb ass lyrics all day and acts of violence and trapping are "cool" to them and it's something they aspire to emulate. Hip hop is the single most destructive force for impoverished minorities right now because it not only numbs them to the reality of their situation (the fact that the cards are stacked against them) and acts as a blindfold to what's really going on, but it actually has a whole generation of people WANTING to be the next Bobby Shmurda, when he's just another pawn used to perpetuate this cycle of ignorance. The hood's idolization of pop culture and hip hop is so dumb. These corporations gladly stepped in and obliged by essentially saying "well if you're gonna look up to these rappers and their music as heroes, let us feed you the most ignorant shyt possible from behind the scenes and that way they do the dirty work for us and keep you at bay in your little project tenement while you shmurda dance for some free government cheese and milk"
:myman:Excellent posting.

Meh... this is not all that different than some of your so-called "rap icons" getting on stage infront of large audiences of whites and painting their people in an unfavorable light and airing out their communities dirty laundry in their songs for the enjoyment and pleasure of white folk. :yeshrug:

There almost isn't a rapper alive that has hit the mainstream and/or has been signed to a major label that ISN'T a c00n.

How many of you nikkas felt this strongly about this topic before this video leaked? Don't let me find out some of you all were doing that shmoney dance bullshyt when it first came out. :mjpls:

That's what made this nikka famous -- shucking and jiving

Some of yall missing the point. The video adds another dimension of perspective to it.

It shows you exploitation. This actually landing him a record deal? Those people were judging whether he was worthy of being marketed to Hip Hop?

It also shows him making an absolute fool of himself with zero self-awareness just for a corporate deal that he did not even need.

Its just all around wrong:mjcry:
