That wasn't terrible the first time they reference it with the face blind guy, but when Tobias did it a second time it definitely got a cringe from me.
That type of over-referencing of past jokes is why Season 3 sucked. However, I don't see too much of it in Season 4 honestly....there was certainly a ton of callback and references, but it was kept in check compared to what I had anticipated
One example of how they actually used callbacks very well rather than beat a joke into the ground was:

George Sr (ep 2) was terrible, i really liked the opener and Lindsay's wasnt bad but not top shelf. will try to catch the rest this weekend

all these faggit critics will suck matt wieners cock over mad men, because they love the baby boomer shhit... I like mad men but it is over-rated
All these critics hating seem to have a Netflix bias and other odd stuff... Of course I would like 15 regular episodes but u weren't glad to have another 8 hours with these characters
didn't love the George sr and Lindsay episodes but everything else went from good to classic
I don't really get the movie thing... I just wish they could do another 6-12 episodes however many would be possible with the entire cast
If there isn't a film or another season I would maybe view this season as frusturating considering they had this opportunity and didn't finish the story

I'm Watching it again and it's def better the 2nd time around. That first gob episode might be a top 5 ep for the series. The biggest prob with this season is that all the new characters (outside of the Asian prision gang) were trash. I wish they had more time for the other recurring characters
