There's really only one other option as you've mentioned in this thread and I'd be hesitant to do that since previous surgeries aren't fixing the issue.

If Chicago is going to blow it up at some point and his injury just isn't going to heal for him to play again, I'd try and nudge him into medically retirement so he still gets his money and the contract doesn't count towards the cap.

i mean rest hasnt worked, whatever it is they gotta solve it somehow. i dont see him retiring just yet, hes way too young.

After going through the Rose injury years, I think all Bulls fans are numb to players being out longer than anticipated.

I always simulate a career for him in 2k where he never gets injured he usually has like 2 or 3 mvps and 3 championships

Honestly, Roy should have been red flagged from the jump as he had surgery on both of his knees before making it to the NBA, so his outcome was always going to happen. He more than likely wouldn't have drafted today as high as he was for that very reason.

i also think he would of received better medical advice today, either way its too bad his career was shortened, people dont remember how good he was.

Only problem with that is other doctors he's asked can't tell him either.

At least Dipo found out that what the issue was when he had to have surgery on the same body part.
