If I said that in 2008 about Michael Beasley what would you have said?

I was unimpressed with Beasley in 2008. Didn't understand why anyone thought him vs Rose was even a debate.

I got the same feeling about Fultz. I really don't see the hype. He's an undersized 2 guard with below average athleticism and good overall skill development already in his career. He has little to no room for improvement. At best you're looking at a slightly taller Damian Lillard.

Can he be a good player? Sure.

Will he be great? Hell naw.
A taller Damian Lillard would be monstrous :dahell:

Fultz is not that good. I don't see what folks see in him.

He's aight but Lonzo is much better. Same with Jayson Tatum.

Fultz is barely a top 5 prospect IMO.

Damn, why you have to open your fukkin dyck sucker.

Everthing this guy says, the opposite is ALWAYS the case. Like eye cue or suave hooper. Band of Opposite Day Homos.

It depends which team they land. I think Fultz is better on most teams, now and potentially but on certain teams, Ball can be better. It just depends. Fit, personnel and system means a lot for both of these guys.

Sums up any draft in general.

Every now and then some players are great that no matter what system they step into it wouldn't matter, but I'd say far more often than not it's the situation they step into.

shyt, that's life in general.

Agreed. I don't see a Tim Duncan or LeBron wear they can land in the worst situation ever and make it good. These guys just aren't those prospects.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Exactly.

I need my 6'4" guard to be a dynamic athlete if I'm gonna take him 1st overall. If you're not Russell Westbrook or Derrick Rose athletic as a 6'4" or under player, don't talk to me about being the #1 overall pick.

I used to be high on Dennis Smith Jr. before the ACL because he had that freakish athleticism as a PG.

Otherwise give me the freak 6'8" guy with a 7 foot wingspan that will continue to develop his skills and become a Paul George or Kawhi Leonard type beast on both sides of the court. Remember that both guys were drafted late lottery in years where more developed players with lower ceilings were taken earlier.

Kyrie and Wall went 1.

And I think you're confusing Markelle being smooth, with lack of athleticism, you can probably count on 1 hand the 6'4" guys in the league that can dunk from around the foul line.

It's not the smoothness of his game. He just didn't seem engaged half the time. How many franchise players couldn't even lead their team to the tourney in college? Washington didn't even win double digit games for crying out loud.

Even D'Angelo Russell, who I will always support pot-shots of, took a crummy OSU team to the tournament. They didn't have shyt on that team besides him either and Matta is not a very good coach either.

I hope you never let this go. :lolbron:
What if I told u that the Washington coach made Matta look like Popovich

Kyrie and Wall both came in epically weak drafts with almost no other competition making them the default first overall pick. Just look at who the following picks were those years. In 2010, Evan Turner was the #2 pick, Derrick Favors was #3, and Wesley Johnson was #4. And in 2011, Derrick Williams was #2, Enes Kanter was #3, and Tristan Thompson was #4. Lonzo Ball is a way better prospect than any of those dudes. If Fultz had the competition Kyrie and Wall had those years, I would be behind him being the #1 overall pick as well.

Plus I would consider Wall close to D-Rose and Russ in terms of freakish athleticism. I was high on him before his draft and he's only now living up to expectations. And although Kyrie has had a decent career so far, he's honestly not the type that could lead a team anywhere by himself. He's basically a undersized SG without great athleticism playing PG. He's got a sublime handle and elite one on one scoring skills. Those skills paired with LeBron James have allowed him the perfect role as elite closer on a championship team. However, his poor defense and lack of elite play-making skills make him a sub-par candidate to be the first option on a championship team. And that is usually the standard I use when trying to determine whether a player is worthy of going #1 overall in a draft.

And on that youtube vid, there is a reason they started out with the slo-mo of that dunk. Cause in full speed shyt was unimpressive. I'll give him kudos for jumping from near the free throw line. But then again Brent Barry did the same shyt when he won a dunk contest and he never was a great athlete in the NBA.

Markelle Fultz is a below average athlete. He's not explosive. Either off the dribble or in the paint attacking the rim. Like I said earlier, he's a CJ McCollum/Dame Lillard level NBA player (at best). He's also got full-on bust potential cause he don't look like a guy who loves the game. And as I said he doesn't have a high ceiling. So even if he's better than a bunch of guys right now, he won't be better than them in 3-4 years like Tyreke Evans.
