"Fultz is barely a top 5 prospect IMO."

:dead:

Only on thecoli.

If I said that in 2008 about Michael Beasley what would you have said?

I was unimpressed with Beasley in 2008. Didn't understand why anyone thought him vs Rose was even a debate.

I got the same feeling about Fultz. I really don't see the hype. He's an undersized 2 guard with below average athleticism and good overall skill development already in his career. He has little to no room for improvement. At best you're looking at a slightly taller Damian Lillard.

Can he be a good player? Sure.

Will he be great? Hell naw.

you hate this class that much huh

I used to be high on this class like everyone else cause I bought into the hype.

Then I watched them play. Very disappointed.

The best 2 players were Harry Giles and Dennis Smith Jr. Injuries have destroyed both guys in my eyes. I also used to like Josh Jackson till I found out he was already 20 years old as a freshmen and had a weak wingspan. His ceiling is Jimmy Butler IMO. And then you got Jayson Tatum who I used to like a lot more early on. But he's disappointed me with a lack of progression when it comes to his athleticism. And he's been looking a lil too stiff lately rather than being fluid. Still my #2 overall prospect but not as big a fan as I used to be.

Only Lonzo Ball has exceeded my expectations. He's the only guy who has improved since I saw him in high school. And to me whether guys improve is a big deal to me. That lets me know whether they'll continue to get better or simply plateau.

Fultz is not that good. I don't see what folks see in him.

He's aight but Lonzo is much better. Same with Jayson Tatum.

Fultz is barely a top 5 prospect IMO.
It's because of how he literally became a top draft pick in the matter of like 4 years and he isn't some 6'8 freak he has what I call late bloomers potential. And that's been hitting in the NBA lately with guys like Leonard curry giannis Westbrook, but I'm not too sure hes got their killer mentality tho

Lonzo got way too much glaring holes in his game. Fultz is the much better prospect.

Lonzo's ceiling >>> Fultz ceiling

Who cares about who is more well rounded right now? Both are 19 year old kids. They won't be factors in the NBA until they're 23-24 years old.

What you should be doing is projecting who will be the better player 3-4 years from now. And I simply don't see much of a ceiling for Fultz to reach. He's about as good as he'll ever be right now.

Fultz is an undersized 2-guard with below average athleticism. That is not a good combo. He's right now as good as CJ McCollum.

Do I think CJ McCollum is a good player? Sure.

Would I take him 1st overall in any NBA Draft? Hell naw.

That is my issue with Fultz. People are ignoring the fact he has almost no ceiling. The guy is right now as good as he'll ever be.

I think that is what makes me like Fultz even more. At times his game is so smooth it looks like he's not really trying, and even when he's not giving a lot of effort he still scores at will.

I wouldn't question his desire, he is a real competitive guy. I think playing for Romar didn't do him any favors.

Especially on defense, you see Malik Monk have some games where he doesn't care which is more worrying than Fultz who could play elite defense and his team would still get beat by double digits because his teammates are so bad.

It's not the smoothness of his game. He just didn't seem engaged half the time. How many franchise players couldn't even lead their team to the tourney in college? Washington didn't even win double digit games for crying out loud.

Even D'Angelo Russell, who I will always support pot-shots of, took a crummy OSU team to the tournament. They didn't have shyt on that team besides him either and Matta is not a very good coach either.

Okafor didn't.

I hope you never let this go. :lolbron:

Exactly.

I need my 6'4" guard to be a dynamic athlete if I'm gonna take him 1st overall. If you're not Russell Westbrook or Derrick Rose athletic as a 6'4" or under player, don't talk to me about being the #1 overall pick.

I used to be high on Dennis Smith Jr. before the ACL because he had that freakish athleticism as a PG.

Otherwise give me the freak 6'8" guy with a 7 foot wingspan that will continue to develop his skills and become a Paul George or Kawhi Leonard type beast on both sides of the court. Remember that both guys were drafted late lottery in years where more developed players with lower ceilings were taken earlier.
