You should go to Edgware road for some Shisha, enjoy looking at some thick middle Eastern and Somali women :ohlawd:

I second this. I never thought there was such a thing as thick Middle Eastern/Arabic women til I hit up Edgware Road :noah: A lot of them be from Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, etc.

13. Shoreditch aint rough like that... and Camden is overrated. That little food court area is full of garbo eateries and like 5 bubble waffle spots.:martin:
Sounds to me like you went to Camden at the wrong time, breh. shyt was sild when i went. One of my favorite parts of London. Maybe it's because i was there the month of the Olympics. :manny:

1. The English accent is either exaggerated in tv/movies or softer in London because it isn’t as distracting as I expected it to be.
You do know that when you're a foreigner they adjust their speech so you can understand them, right? Same way Jamaicans and Trinis do when a foreigner walks into their restaurants

13. Shoreditch aint rough like that... and Camden is overrated. That little food court area is full of garbo eateries and like 5 bubble waffle spots.:martin:

2. The Tube was extremely clean, and the system is designed very well down to the ease of use and signage plus you can apple pay at every station. only complaint NO AC :why:

- This is the thing about people who haven't travelled to England and think we talk like the queen

-I'd put Tokyo in terms of reliability and clenliness. But reach, ease of travelling and technology - we are top 3

-You gotta to the more non-tourist places. As a Londoner, I can't even remember the last time I had traditional UK food. As suggested to @Colicat try Hawksmore, Ottolenghi or the Fish Bar in Borough Market. Do not go and east at those central London restaurants that obviously cater to tourists

6. NY and Berlin do their thing, but London has the pea-coat game on lock.

-Our fashion sense is renown across the world for a reason.

7. Who the fukk wants beans and black pudding with their breakfast.:scusthov:

-You're STRAIGHT tripping. When I used to eat meat, it would be: beans, mushrooms, onions, eggs, sausage, butter toast & a cuppa. Luvly jubbly

8. London cacs aren’t shook of nikkas
hiHpGB4.png
seems like a sign of good relations?

-Generally no smoke. As you are probably aware, London is very multicultural and you can have a Polish family living next to a Ghanian one then next to an English one

9. The cacs in London have all their teeth...

-Again, unless you've actually travelled, this is one stereotype that's easily trashed

11. The museums are dope as hell, and the pay for exhibits are all well done.:obama:

-One of the most underrated things that travellers do not do. Some of the worlds most famous museums (stolen artefacts, but yeah). Go to them! They're free!

13. Shoreditch aint rough like that... and Camden is overrated. That little food court area is full of garbo eateries and like 5 bubble waffle spots.:martin:
-Ditch aint rough at all, who told you that?!

15. The Shard is amazing... I’m typing this at the top overlooking the city.:blessed:

-Been twice, it's amazing from the top in the day or at night

16. The top of them double decker buses be dirty as hell:scust:

-Tip: The code on the top of them are for the helicopters to easily track which bus is which in case of emergencies

17. Bendwenching and pawging dont have the connotation they do in the states.

-Again, London is verrrry multicultural. My Mrs is Asian/white, and we get odd stares from foreigners - but we're a sample of what London is now

19. Cambridge is lit. It’s like 98% cac though...
-Yeap. Went "punting" there. Did you go down the river on the barges?

20. The circle line be screaming coming into some stations, everyone was :unimpressed: , i was like
ws9ThX2.gif

-You need to try the Bakerloo or Central line. Ear piercingly loud

22.
luHUZ5H.png
@ the number of theaters... went and saw a couple. Both were dope as hell. James McAvoy is talented as hell.

-One of London's most known fames is the theatre. Shaftsbury Avenue or Victoria Palace are amazing

25. The pizza in London is extra garbage... yet there is a pizzeria seemingly on every block. Best pizza in town is easily Pizza Hut. Nothing else needs to be said.:francis:

-Nah man. You needed to go somewhere like Pizza Pilgrims or Franco Manca. Those are chain and off the dome. Run by Italians so proper kosher

Good thread though OP. I remember the other post from the other breh who was trashing it after staying in one zone for 2 days.

LDN
Nice, I plan to go back regularly, just trying see if its worth living there vs NY. Then I would just commute to LND since it's only a six hour flight.

Newark airport has routes straight into London City Airport. :wow:

I couldnt believe how central and lowkey that airport was. I only noticed because I took that Emirate Air cable to get a view of the city.

I love small airports because they aren't as congested. It's easy to get in / out, plus you don't feel like cattle.

London City Airport is literally half an hour away from me and even I was blown away by how small it was. As soon as you go through customs you're right there on the plane.

Heathrow is the GOAT airport to me though.
