Only reason I'd consider a nintendo platform is for the platformers. As much as I love my PC and PS3 when I do turn it on, I'm getting tired of shooters.

Every generation since after the 16 bit you have to get 2 systems if you're a true gamer. You have to get the nintendo system for the first party titles and whatever innovation they add, then your choice in the other for Sports, Shooting, and whatever your other vices are. If nintendo actually pulls off quality versions of Call of Duty, 2k, Madden, Assassins Creed, etc for Wii U they'll really be no point to get a 720 or ps4....

You aren't going to get that Nintendo experience in gaming anywhere else then use the other system for the power/entertainment center.

In all honesty Nintendo can get quality versions of those games, they will still be grossly inferior to the ps4/720 counterparts breh, there is no if about it. shyt will be like comparing the PC battlefield 3 to the ps3/360 ports, still good but obviously not on the same level

Nintendo is just trying to get a head start on the next generation at the cost of their hardware

by now we all know how to get all 3 systems at either a heavy discount or virtually for free.

pre-order 2 of each system at 2 different retailers (preferably use a credit card to buy at least one of the systems)

sell one system on eBay keep the other for yourself use the profits from the sell to lower your final out of pocket cost for the system you keep.

this strategy has consistently worked since at least the PS2 era. people will basically pay you to pre-order systems for them since they're too lazy to do it themselves.
