LOL @ people that think Wii U is next gen

a generation is determined by when a piece of hardware is released not by its specs. the Wii U is an 8th generation console whether you like it or not. it is in fact a hardware improvement over the previous generation Nintendo console.

It's is next gen though. If you have really been following you would know that the hardware is much more capable than current gen systems. The whole "it's only as powerful as current gen" shyt is just fanboy shyt based on the fact that 3rd party developers are still developing for all 3 systems. 3rd party developers want maximum exposure for their games so they prefer to hit as many platforms as possible

When the next gen PS and Xbox do finally come out you will be able to brag about how superior they are, but until then denying that wii u is more powerful than this gen is just stupid. If it ain't for you that's fine, but really why front? Why not just accept that although it may have better specs than current gen you are personally holding out for the new PS4 or 720?

you're lyng and making up tales about they wont maximize. EVERY GEN THEY MAXIMIZED, need for speed most wanted on xbox360 was maximized, call of duty was maximixed. so now all a sudden they stopped maximizing?

And another thing I know is I wont be disapointed by the fun factor of the wii u, dont care what u guys consider next gen, or the specs, cause nintendo always come correct with what gaming is about, fun.

whos holding out? i buy everything. i merely said its not next gen. because it isnt. was gamecube next gen when it came out after ps2?

do you seriously not know what the word generation means? a generation of hardware would be considered a group of hardware that comes out at or around the same time just like generations of people are people who were born at or around the same time

the Nintendo 64 and PSone were in the same generation and the PS was 32 bit and the N64 was 64 bit. it had nothing to do with their specs. saying a piece of hardware is the weakest of a given generation is far different from saying a system that's coming out in 2012 is in the same hardware generation as one that came out in 2005.

I haven't had a Nintendo console since the Gamecube. Skipped out on all the iterations of the DS. I miss Nintendo games. I want to play Zelda and Metroid again. I'll be getting the Wii U. I understand it isn't "next-gen". No shyt. But the graphics are slightly better than the current systems.

Wii U is to next gen as the Wii is to last gen. At least current gen games won't look so archaic. Graphics really took a leap from last gen to this one. But still the things that Nintendo could do graphically with games like Mario Galaxy were beautiful. They'll take full advantage of the artstyle and make some beautiful games

I can't stand nikkas that only thing games are good cause they don't look like real life or cause they're "kiddy" games.

Last I checked Nintendo has made 3 or 4 of the top 10 games of all damn time. I still fukks with Mario Kart and Zelda and Metroid and I pray to GOD they remake Kid Icarus or Megaman

When I'm worried about graphics I'll be sure to mess around with my PS4 that particular day, but trust those days aren't when I turn to Nintendo.

Some days I just feel like fukking with Zelda, idgaf if it's repetitive, alot of games are. I grew up with it so it gives me a nostalgia factor.

How could anyone hate on some Mario Galaxy type platform piff? The bright colors and happiness in the game annoys the shyt out of me but underneath that is genius quality level design.

and I know I've racked at least 100 hours on EVERY Smash Bros., worth the price of admission for me right there.
