as a long time joe fan, and regular listener to the podcast ... nah lol

logic became super derivative and corny, and i can even say his recent music is soulless, but he isn't a technically bad rapper

under pressure is still the only project i enjoyed from logic, but outside of the sing about me, dying of thirst rendition of the 2nd half of the title track, the album was actually good imo and displayed what logic could be if he told his story without deriving too much inspiration from his peers

That line in Blueprint 2 is about Logic.
He just rap in double time but dont really be saying anything at all.

this is true, he used to run the double time shyt while actually trying to say something of substance (mixtape to UnderPressure days)

nowadays he falls into the typical "i am rapping about how fast i am rapping" cliche. no one tryna hear you tell us for the 100th time "ayo i'm rhyming the nicest, rhymin the tightest, i might not have write this, etc" shyt is ok for a street cypher not an album track

Being technically better doesnt mean you're better at writing lyrics
It does. One artist can be better at writing lyrics and the other can be better at crafting a song. Rap is filled with artist that can write technically great lyrics but can't make more than a handful of good songs if any at all. In a world full of billions of people technical rap skills won't be that rare. The ability to craft a great song would be rarer.

Take OutKast. I would say Andre 3000 is the better lyric writer of the two but Big Boi is easily my favorite of the duo.

Lyrics are a big part of a song

Jeezy and Ross have pretty powerful lyrics

The shyt we say to generate controversy and views, brehs. :snoop:

Be walking clickbait, brehs. :snoop:

Gonna be embarrasing af when logic machine-gun-kellies Joe :snoop:

One bytch made rapper that likes to whine about his life calling another bytch made rapper that likes to rap about his life a WOAT :pachaha:

"Preceding the announcement of the summer tour, Logic suffered a panic attack when waiting to view Star Wars: The Force Awakens"
The whitest shyt I've ever read on wikipedia :dead:

Hey Joe, you are hiding a child... his mixtapes bred this whole wave of emo ass rappers. :mjlol:

Also, I called this shyt:

Everyone in this thread has managed to forget the fact that the musical genre spawned by George W. Bush was Screamo.

So I hope you're all ready for nu-Emo music.
4-8 more years of Underoath, MCR, and the inevitable sequel to "Hey There Delilah"
Said this back in 2016, Lil Peep didn't even drop his debut yet.

I hope yall aint about to get mad at Joe for saying the same shyt yall say up here daily :fohch:
I don't take shyt said in here seriously. If Joe doesn't call something wack or say anything controversial he's criticized for being too commercial and too safe now that he has the spotify deal. If he does attack somebody or say something controversial then he's clout chasing or jealous of the rapper and hating on them.

Joe Budden might be the best rapper with the worst catalog. Aside from the Mood Muzik run, he really dropped shyt worth mentioning

Logic is far from the worst. He can actually flow, articulate and perform live. He has basic ass rhyme schemes and isn't saying a whole lot beneath the surface, but he's honestly skilled enough

I feel like this is Joe's round about way of trolling Em and Royce (and their fans), who've done records with Logic recently....

I was gonna say it but I decided against it lol, but that's what it really is.
