I will always give respect to a rapper who is technically sound and I don't value the business putting persona over skill so we're going to agree to disagree. But none of that makes with Joe said correct. This far worse and we all know thatBeing a rapper is being an entertainer though. An artist is an entertainer and a rapper is a category of artist. If you're a rapper that's not really entertaining then you're basically a shytty rapper.
Logic is a lower tier level rapper because for the most part he's not entertaining. He comes across as some kid that grew up idolizing rappers and learned how to rhyme but doesn't have much to say and doesn't know how to entertain. That being said like I said in very small doses I like a few of his tracks. He's like the extreme version of what Jadakiss was. Jada could rap bars like crazy and even had the charisma but mostly put out mediocre albums. Same with Cassidy. Pac didn't have half of either of those guy's technical skills but put out albums that shyt on their entire career.
I don't know how many people were in the room when "Logic" was created but some of the best rappers have powerful executives and producers behind them that help them craft their persona and music. Logic comes across like he's competently self made. I really question is 6ix does anything more than just give Logic beats to rhyme over.
Thing is in the era we live in now a low tier rapper can move units. Artist today aren't like the ones from even the 00s and back to the 90s and shyt.
