Thats true but a 28-30 something woman and a guy are on 2 different levels socially. I am not presses to be married or have kids. None of that social pressure that comes with age for women.
I think internal or external pressure is highly dependent on educational attainment and socioeconomic status.
Women that I know who ever went to college were looking to get married straight out of high school.
Women I know who did not aspire to get more than a BA/BS were looking to get married a few years after undergrad.
All the women I know who are getting advanced degrees and are late 20s just aren't worried about getting married anytime soon.
The most I hear about marriage from my 27-30 year old friends is that they would like to have a relationship that
could lead to marriage (as in after a few years of dating). They certainly aren't trying waste time on a guy who would not marry them and vice versa. However, no I know is looking for a husband. That is the reality of modern times where both genders are going further in their education and looking to settle down later.
