Nope...first paragraph is pretty cut and dry 'cism...he could've very easily shytted on Bow Wow without prefacing it with that "Well we know all rappers are stupid ******s...even the ones that somehow manage to transcend their ******dom and gain some kind of lasting success, it's only because they have smarter more intelligent people handling their affairs and helping them prosper despite themselves. Here's another example of a dumb ****** being a dumb ******" bullshyt

Thanks for elaborating. Either way, I still have more of a problem with rappers than feed into the perception than the white folks that acknowledge the validity.

I think had he kept it to Bow Wow and his stupidity it wouldn't have came off as racist and people would have laughed and continued to go in on Bow Wow...But the dude was going in on the intelligence and I.Q of rappers. Painting a broad stroke over all rappers saying they lack the intelligence to make sound business moves. By and large, rappers are of what race?

Thanks for elaborating, but I think the point about Bow Wow was pretty clear. Sure the first paragraph may have been a little overarching, but how many top tier rappers have NEVER mentioned a Lambo in their song? True enough, not all of them have made the same mistake Bow Wow did, making an ass purchase, but they definitely don't help the perception.

From the perspective of a car enthusiast (the author of the article), when rappers talk about performance cars, they are usually pretty superficial. "My Lambo is blue", "my Lambo is powder blue", "I got suicide doors", "my roof folds into my trunk", "I have buttersoft leather", "Lil Bow Wow can fit inside my rims" lol, "I have multiple screens in my headrests", so on and so forth. Rarely do you hear a rapper boast about the mpg's they're getting (granted Lambo's and Ferrari's aren't the best examples of fuel efficiency, but you get my point!) or the crash test rating, you know simple shyt. And when it comes to performance, what's the intake system talking about, handling, aerodynamics, acceleration times.

There are plenty of rappers that know a thing or two about cars, and they always get their props, but these youngins out here buying performance vehicles is who this article is about and the author makes a valid point.

God's Plan
i dunno why he just didn't pursue a career in acting--if not film, a sitcom or something. seems he desperately wants to be respected as rapper.

Bow Wow has been making a ton of money since he was a little kid. He got used it and thought it would keep coming like that forever, but it hasn't. That's probably what happened.

He probably shoulda copped a Ducati instead of a Lambo :lolbron:

I do agree with both of you, however, the bolded leaves me with a different impression about it:

It just sounds like he doesn't want to give credit, at all. It's no different when you see a Black scientist/engineer, and some :skip: type of guy (who isn't smart enough to be a scientist/engineer) looks at them and thinks, "Well, they're not as smart as Stephen Hawking." Yet when they see one of their kind is a high school chemistry teacher, they're on some, "Wow, he must be smart because he has a degree in chemistry!"

That bolded part just comes off that way.

Exactly. no one is pulling the race card or making excuses, we all know most rappers aren't the smartest people, but going the extra mile to even discredit those that made some smart decisions comes off like the writer is just bitter.

Didn't the guy say it was a business loan with some cash down, seems this was treated as a business expense with all the tax loop holes that come with it.

The writer is probably some geek who knows everything about performance vehicle but can only afford a Toyota Camry. :umad: that rappers can afford to drive vehicles that he can only have wet dreams about.

How are you going to be so incensed about how a perfect stranger makes financial decisions unless :umad:
