Bank’s style is rapping over gritty and dull beats. Cold, nyc street corner type of beats. Yall want uptempo kinda beats go listen to Lil Uzi Vert. Yall kill me with that. Yall say this stupid shyt every banks project. nikkas is corny. This is Banks sound.
Calm down bro. Who said anything about Lil Uzi beats? Only you did with your whack ass example arguing against yourself. Gritty beats don’t have to be dull and monotonous. Look at the Griselda joints with alchemist.

Bank’s selection of beats are typically much grittier than an average Griselda project tho. This has been Banks style since the first 5 and better tape. Dope rhymes over Gritty and grimey beats.

My question to you and everyone else is, why are yall in here looking for something different when Banks has been consistent with this kind of approach to the sound of his music? :dahell:

Idk that I’d agree that Banks projects are more gritty sounding than Griselda. FNO and LIU aren’t. And I come into Banks threads because I fukk with his music doesn’t mean I have to love every aspect of it blindly like you do. If you like all his beats then cool, I’m happy that you do, to me they’re hit or miss and sometimes the misses are big misses TO ME.

Griselda did bring that gritty sound back, I mean Banks jumped on one of their songs :manny: Now they got a few songs together

Lol @ this is Banks sound.. Banks first ever single was fukking uptempo. Even on Cold Corner 2 he had Shock the World.

The calls for variation in his beats is valid, he was never an artist to stick to one type of vibe on a project.

Yeah I don't think Banks projects sound grittier than Griselda, especially their earlier stuff. GOAT, Reject 2, Tana Talk 3, etc. A lot of the Banks projects from V6 to now have a very different aesthetic. Honestly they don't sound similar at all to that grungier Griselda/Daringer sound.

I love both styles, but Bulley Klub is a great example of Banks on a Griselda joint, and not much on the recent Banks' tapes sounds like that to me.

Gotta be the sharpest project lyrically since he started dropping again with COTI which is saying something because Banks is always top-tier lyrically.

This shyt is just relentless with the flows, punches and wordplay but not to beat a dead horses some of these beats are dull as fukk. Convoy is relentlessly dull smh and Banks fukking kills it on that one.
Yeah Banks is ice cold

You are smoking dust bro. Most of his shyt, starting from Return of the PLK has a gritty and grimey sound. We can go track by track. Keyword is “most”.. yall are trying to argue a couple of different sounding tracks when majority of the tracks on his projects in fact gritty and grimey style. This is Banks’ sound by yall dummies in here talking about wanting to hear uptempo shyt. Foh.

How does being independent work? I see other artists claim to be independent all the time and their new records appear on the Apple Music browse section when you scroll to new albums

With Banks, you gotta look his shyt up… if you ain’t personally checkin for Banks, you wouldn’t know he’s still droppin

He’s A1 with the lyrics on here and he sounds clearer than his other recent releases.. he should make this more noticeable but I know he don’t have the Hovain leverage anymore

If you're talking about most then why are you starting with a mixtape he made 4 years into his career? Banks is a well rounded artist he's had uptempo shyt on pretty much every project until HH3.

Bizarre thing to say
