So. Cal
I said on here years ago if Pac was around today that the coli would call him a simp and a fraud
https://www.thecoli.com/threads/let...uld-be-calling-him-a-simp-and-a-fraud.352563/
I’ve always felt like as a rapper he was one of the most overrated ever. But as a person he’s one of the most influential ever. He accomplished more in five short years than most people

This thread is mad disrespectful. Pac was an enigma. He was educated, talented, articulate, and passionate. Was he influenced by some of the wrong people. Yea. But he was young. The man shot at two off duty cops defending a young brother. Only reason he even started carrying was becuz he got his ass whooped by cops. He also got shot five times and did time in prison on some phony rape charges. Anybody who goes thru all that in a short amount of time at young age would be affected too

Ive always said the only peeps who hate pac are cacs and c00ns. U dont have to like his music for whatever retarded reason but the nikka was the last real.one left. And he called out all the bullshyt u see today and was a huge influence in the black community. I would bet he would try to form/partake a black political party of he was alive today.

Somewhere on an Xbox
Mobb Deep was in Ballet when they was young
Jay Z was in Hawaiian shirts as a backup crew for Daddy Kane and Jaz O
Biggie was a nerd when he was in school
Method Man played Lacrosse before the rap game and a fortune teller
Eminem was watching dishes at a diner while his baby momma was fukking other dude
Rick Ross was a security guard

What's the big that dude was a dancer back in the 80's? This was around the time New Jack Swing was popular.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with any of these with the exception of Rick Ross. He was a Correctional Officer, but repeatedly raps about the drug game, and even stole a famous drug kingpin's name.

Everything else on your list is perfectly fine. Eminem just had an overall shytty life, Mobb Deep...idk about Ballet. Maybe they wanted to dance better, ball better, or just did it as a hobby?

There's nothing wrong with being in them books for Biggie, and idk why you mentioned Method Man. Lacrosse is a fukking sport regardless of who plays it.

Nah I don't agree with that. Tupac had the saying make music for the bytches and what ever the women like the nikkas will like because they want the bytches. As far as the gangsta thing imo it's a big difference between thug life and the gangsta shyt he started doing in 96 on death row. I think he was doing that to please suge.

Im not necessarily hating any one of those dudes. People wanna forget that before rappers hit it big, many of them were regular dudes like Pac. They were just kids too.

Nah dude grew up in the hood he was always around it even tho he wasn’t a real street dude. But when he got in with the thug life gangs and then the death row things he took it to 1000
It's fukked up but Pac story isn't rare.

Dude hops in the streets late but is lucky to fall in with real gangsters that have already taken their lumps.
Dude builds a persona of what a street nikka is based around what nikkas do in public and not the shyt and politics that happen in secret.
Dude crashes out because he doesn't realize that nobody is invincible in the streets.

I used to say Pac was a goof for hopping into the streets so late in life, but hell sometimes the dudes that start late end up more solid than the ones raised in it.
But he didn't have any real friends with foresight, Suge was a big reckless crash dummy who also thought he was invincible.

Being the toughest is overrated.

back to OP, I disagree. Pac definitely became a gangsta for the women. When you watch his young interviews you could tell he was just a black boy that wondered why he couldn't get the girls he wanted around the hood. But because he could rap he fell in with street nikkas and they showed him what certain women really find attractive. They redpilled him lol.

Pac was not some tough ass dude....He was a great artist...To me the goat...But nah his whole tough image was a facade but at the same time he really did ride for the cause and care. He really did do his time. He really did have a target on his back...That doesn’t mean he could beat LL in a fight or was more of a hustler than Ice-T or Eazy E.

it’s not disrespectful to Pac to say he wasn’t some super thug...The dude was a conscious artist. Kind of got turned out by having the death row muscle behind him.

I guess the stories you hear about Pac in hindsight do make him seem tougher than he was. Makes sense.
