Basically. I don't blame TSN for shoving hockey down our throats...or even curling, cuz most rural canadians are OBSESSED with that shyt. And hockey IS a rite of passage for Canadians. The only thing I don't like is when TSN takes veiled shots at those "black guys" in the NBA.

It's like when nikkas on here take shots at black women to justify their interracial dating. Nobody gives a fukk if you like what you like, but you don't gotta tear down something else out of insecurity to prop up your own preference.

Anybody see how the talk around the NHL lockout is different. When the NBA lockout was happening it was:
-NBA players are so greedy.
-They aren't even worth the money
-Good riddance of the thug league
-Players are so arrogant
-Who watches the NBA

Id like to know how many people from the GTA/Southern Ontario are watching tho ? I know people from out west are and PEI,they sporting lames but are Torontonians watching ? I will not believe that GTA folk are watching curling over the NBA i refuse to believe it...Its half immigrants and folks from china and sri lanka and the west indies dont care about curling....

played it recreationaly, terrible sport to watch on TV

but truthfully you can have a good time playing it with some homies over a beer

problem is it's mostly old farts that play it and there is a certain etiquette to the sport so it's kinda hard finding an ice where they let you fool around a bit without bytches killing your vibe

I would say the reason they dont get more coverage is cuz they dont have any tradition in this city and they have sucked for most of there existance and the old boys netowork that runs TV and radio up here doesnt want to see basketball have a voice next to there maple syrup peameal bacon first love (hockey)

Thats why they dont ever tell you VC era Raptors drew ratings...

Like I said.. the older demographic needs to die off.. nothing is going to change unless that happens.

Real talk the only things that sucks about living in Canada is taxes and hockey. Im sick of having this wack ass sport shoved down my throat. Everywhere u look on tv its all hockey then all the cacs are obsessed with it when you're out somewhere. I just have the face whenever a hockey discussion comes up. All the exposure to it has made me have a real hate for the sport
