Yeah, I fundamentally disagree with you and think you’re flat wrong about the depth of this draft. There are several guys this year that will go much earlier than they would’ve last year. But you and ol boy are arguing something I never said but I’ll elaborate - it’s not one thing and you’re mistakenly focusing on that instead of looking at the totality of the circumstances. Last year had like 6 QBs in the first round so of course there was more buzz. But we have had many drafts before with more buzz where we didn’t have that. Think of all the reaches on random white QBs.

From top to bottom, this draft lacks the sort of depth/name recognition of previous drafts. Previous drafts would be watched by fanbases to see where a guy who had no chance of being good like Beck would fall. And on top of all that you had a lot of buzz around big time skill players in round one. Most people cannot even pronounce the name of second WR to go off the board after Hunter. Bottom line - the top players aren’t as sexy overall and either is the depth.
I dont think the depth drives views/buzz regardless of how strong it is. The lack of buzz is tied to the lack of round 1 talent, which I think we agree on?

The short arm is a legit concern for tackles though. They have to deal with edge rushers and need arm length to use as leverage otherwise they're gonna be food out there in space.
Reshawn slater has small arms too and he’s done ok the only time I really remember Campbell struggling was do techniques not Physical limitations

:mindblown:

seems like every latest mock draft Jacksonville Jags are selecting Ashton Jenty

why in the hell would they go RB
when they have 2 solid backs & their defense is total garbage

I'm sure there are good NFL tackles with shorter arms, but they gotta learn techniques to overcome that limitation. Why would you want to use your #4 pick on that kind of prospect is my question.

Because he has all the tools to be your tackle for the next 10+ years. OT is not a position you play around with and if you feel like you have a guy you think will shore up that position for a decade you take him. Will Campbell is that kind of guy he’s also a culture guy too he has the right attitude to be great

The NFL has different caliber athletes.
Um they went against nfl caliber athletes lmaoo they literally were playing and shutting down guys as freshman who came into the league and won defensive rookie of the year and a bunch of other dudes who went first and second round.
