Smitty’s strength is and was route running. His speed was a bonus. Not the same

Worthy comps to Mecole Hardman, MVS, John ross, Henry Ruggs, etc. Usually, not always, your speed will not save you.

If he’s lucky, he’s Desean Jackson. And that’s not a diss, that’s very possible and Djack was a good player….but that’s a pretty thin needle to thread.

I wanted a big body, contested catch, alpha WR but Andy Reid just isn't ever going to go for that type of player.

He's not a comp to John Ross. Mecole didn't do anything in college. Xavier eclipses their numbers by miles. He's a better WR than that and isn't just speed. His off target rate was insanely high so he should have had way better numbers.

He does a ton of damage on short passes so they're going to get him in space and let him run. He'll also be opening up the middle of the field for Kelce and Rice.

Again, he wasn't my first choice but the more I've looked into him the better I feel about him being productive. If he can bring that explosive element back to the offense he'll work out.
