Really don't know who I want the Giants to take with their first pick. Reese looked for an OT but couldn't sign one (would be very bored with one but I understand). He's only signed back-up LBs (something that we've always done) but I've wanted an LB in the first round for years. Even though Floyd isn't considered a DE, I started seeing signs of OSI when watching him, seeing the Giants use him as a pass rushing specialist (I know he can cover) in the beginning would be interesting. Only knock I have on him is his cartoonish (the height may be a good or bad thing, seems bad) build and his age. Defensive line is pretty interesting, depends on who falls to us but I don't see them taking a DT or DE in the first unless they REALLY love him (I see Floyd as a Hybrid but I've always hated hybrids). I think OO, Bromley, Snacks, JPP and Vernon are good enough right now, maybe a third round DT. Treadwell seems more like an athletic possession receiver and seems to be what the Giants are looking for (quick throw offense would be really good with a guy like him) but we def need another option on offense. Everyone is telling me that Zeke is the real deal and he looks it but he also looks a bit small (he doesn't play small). That's my only knock on him. He seems very fluid and is pretty impressive as a receiver and as a pass blocker, he just doesn't scream AP (but i'd take Shady with the 10th pick almost every time so maybe he's the right choice if he's there) I've been pushing for defense in the first round for the last few years (Anthony Barr was the last player I really wanted) but I think this team needs help on both sides and I trust Reese so I'm not too worried. A safety like KP would be lovely in the second or third. Here's how I'd draft if I were the Giants.
Round 1) Defense (LB, maybe CB, If my scouts are telling me the offensive guy is can't miss, I'd take him). I'm feeling like the Giants think they don't NEED a RT, so I highly doubt they draft one here. I get the feeling that they want a play maker, not just a solid player.
round 2) Defense (1) safety (I know Dave Merit and all the guys are telling me that Landon's opposite is on the roster, I don't know if I believe
them), 2)WR (don't trust Cruz, only other weapon is Shane Vereen and I think Tye might improve next year 3) LB/DT (sorry Hankins, if he's good, you're gone)
round 3) WR/OT (really want an offensive lineman here if there's quality, if not, WR, DT or Safety)
round 4) WR ( WR becomes top priority if one isn't taken by now, if one is DE or DT)
I feel like Reese wants a great offense rather than a great defense but we will see. Only one more DAY!!!
