Nobody is saying he has to get credit for anything. Yes, Davis is a gatekeeper who will never be champion because of his poor striking. Beating up wresters his whole career? Breh, Silva has always struggled with wrestlers. Lost a round against Hendo. Got completely throttled in the first Chael fight. Weidman had no problem taking him down. So an actually legit wrestler at 205 wouldn't smother him? Hes fought slow ass, nonathletic LHW. Davis at this point is probably more faster and elusive on the feet. He doesn't get hit often and gets out the way of most strikes. He won't stand with Silva and he could get him down easily.

Besides if you wanna run with that logic, Davis has struggled fighting [black] strikers with good handspeed to the point of being 0-2 against them and Anderson is elite in that category as well. Phil's "speed" and "elusiveness" couldn't keep Rashad's hands off his jaw at all.

Connor , he's gonna wash siver easily so Dana can justify giving him next up, but when he meets aldo


Mendes would definitely beat up connor as well.
