It’s a W for Tiger because the PGA wit their most ratings when Tiger plays.. Now that LIV is partnering with PGA it will be an even bigger bag for Tiger..

The real loser is the PGA and those cac who turned down the LIV bread lol

How is it at W for Tiger but an l for the other PGA people? Tiger turned down the bread too..and the PGA CACs are gonna come up with a bigger bag too.

I don't think it works. The reason LIV had leverage was because all the players were independent contractors and they snagged most of the top up and coming talent. You even had Cam Smith coming off a major then going to LIV. This made all the PGA events irrelevant because the best players weren't playing.

Unless the Saudi's could pull top talent away from the NFL and even then, the NFL brand is so strong that it wouldn't matter. The bigger question would be does this country have an appetite for a second fiddle league/year round football.
It just takes one guy to make everyone else consider it. Let me propose a hypothetical:

1.) Saudis take control of the XFL and before next year's draft offer Caleb Williams 4/$200 million, fully guaranteed.

2.) Joe Burrow is a free agent after 2024. Get word to him that 4/$500 million, fully guaranteed, is waiting for him to play in the XFL's Vegas or DC market.

3.) Justin Jefferson is also a free agent in 2024. He also gets a crazy offer, fully guaranteed.

The NFL has been treating the players like dirt and fukking them over in CBA negotiations for a long time. The players would flip quickly.

This would bring guaranteed contracts in the NFL.

I don't see a QB in the tier you proposed jumping but virtually every other position would have to consider it.

Someone like Bijan Robinson getting a 4/$80m fully guaranteed offer faxed to his agent would be crazy to pass on that for the 4/$20m (+5th year option) he got as the 8th overall pick. Saquan and Josh Jacobs are both in franchise tag limbo as we speak, they would jump immediately for something in that range.

The only problem with your hypothetical, and the reason the NFL has been so stable:

NFL fans, more so than most leagues, are fans of the team/city, not necessarily individual players. As a Steeler fan, I could give 0 fux if Caleb jumps ship. In

This is certainly not the case in Golf. But even in the NBA it feels like 50% of the fan base is player driven and will follow wherever they decide to go (Bron stans, etc.).

If Patrick Mahomes jumped ship, those KC fans would be feeling a way.

Any franchise QB who left like that would have fans upset and asking ownership/the NFL what the fukk happened.
