You'd imagine that not selling out would be a laudable stand regardless of the outcome. You know, principles and everything.

But posters in here are mocking and laughing at people for not selling out, even mocking posters for suggesting anyone not sell out.

And you wonder why it's been generations since we've managed to use economic power to accomplish anything in the community. The worship of money has won.

Them not selling out shouldn't be commended; they were on some American false morality BS aligning with white supremacy

How?

It wasn't a US versus Saudi issue because the PGA is not run by the government. The American government SUPPORTS Saudi Arabia. You can oppose what the Saudis are doing and say it doesn't align with your values, you can even say it doesn't align with American values, without saying that you're co-signing the actions of the American government.

On msnbc they're crying foul over this like it's some heinous move. These people used to work for w Bush and started a 20 year war on the wrong place when they knew these people were to blame :dead:

It’s a W for Tiger because the PGA wit their most ratings when Tiger plays.. Now that LIV is partnering with PGA it will be an even bigger bag for Tiger..

The real loser is the PGA and those cac who turned down the LIV bread lol
Yup. Tiger already a billionaire so his money is good no matter what. Rory look like a whole fool turning the money down.

so the players should quit playing golf, right?

otherwise their previous stance would be meaningless

Outside of trying to be an ass online, few people are going to see individual players as now co-signing the Saudis any more than they would assume individual players co-sign the PGA's other corporate partners. There's a difference between actively choosing help Saudi Arabia and just having to live through an unfortunate situation that someone else created. If other stars had made the same choice as them before, this never would have happened, but now it happened without their consent, it's almost impossible to impact it in any way. Claiming that distinction is "meaningless" is just internet babble.

This kind of thing opens the floodgates. These major orgs are no longer afraid of public backlash to joining with hate groups/human rights violators. It’s cynical as fukk. I know we have been heading that way for a while now, but what kind of society/civilization backslides as opposed to progressing? lol

:stopitslime:

Most of these large corporations are getting some form of dirty money. The people who were manipulated by the PGA and outraged because of the "Saudi angle" in the first place look like idiots. It was always laughable for people trying to take the moral high ground.
