This is what happens when the cac society controls what is acceptable or not. Then we begin to impose these attitudes on ourselves. Dreadlocks was the main hairstyle in Ancient Egypt. Now we have imposed the views of the cac society on ourselves because we rely on them for things. The Arab or Sheikh can rock his turban because he practices group economics and doesn't need a job from cacs. They have freedom because they have established a level of independence from cacs.

The fukked up part is the principal wears a natural/twist outs looking wig :dead:

:mindblown: That is the most ass backwards bullshyt. The principal has a wig on? And they don't see a problem with hair hats? :what:

I don't get how wearing your hair how it grows out of your head can be a bad thing? I would be raising hell if that was my kid

THIS STORY IS A NON ISSUE. Its NOT a public school but a CHARTER SCHOOL where 99% of the students ARE BLACK! If thats their dress code then follow the damn dress code.

Plus, for some people dread locks hold a very deep meaning for them.

At the beginning of mean streets
you and maybe 100 more families vs 10000000 black families where women do their daughter hair.

Just saying the mother usually have influence over the daughter hair.

True, very true. My mother used to waste money every month or so to get my hair permed until my father stepped in and got really angry and said we shouldn't be wasting money we could use towards more meaningful things than burning our daughter's scalp. So when I was little I wore dreadlocks, my hair grew really really fast and my Dad's side is full of Rastas so you could imagine. I learned to take care of my hair from all the men in my family, my mother's side insults my hair every chance they get, and they always try to persuade me to get a perm or something because my hair is unruly or whatever. And guess what? All of them have thinning hair, bald spots, or their hair simply won't grow. And they're broke as hell from all the money they spend on their hair. I literally use stuff from my kitchen and save all my money. They don't know what the fukk they're doing with the hair on they head so they do everything they can to try and manipulate it (because they hate it). The Black Hair industry is what, worth probably a billion dollars, and black women have no stake in it. Ain't that some shyt.

And you see how white people be bannin afros, locs, twists, basically anything that doesn't fit their Eurocentric standard and black women perpetuate it. :stopitslime:

It's true. Someone posted a link to the school's staff a few pages back and what do you know, it even says she is the founder. Very ironic.
