When you strip away all the fat and fluff and get right down to the meat and bones, this is basically the old guard and it's followers clawing and fighting against change.

they are the ones that reinforced gender roles in the first place. like malcolm said "if someone sticks a knife in 9 inches and pulls it out 6 it does not make them left wing"

and they did this far and wide exposing hateful ideas people who did and do not have direct exposure to the situation(s) to make their own minds up.
