Finally got a chance to sit down and listen to this album. We need more grown hip hop like this.

"After 35, the club's a different kinda torment
Pretend to be excited, watchin' bytches Diddy Bop
When you would rather be at home watchin' Flip or Flop"

That really resonated with me, I was on a Bachelor Party last weekend with about 20 of the bro's and felt exactly this way at a couple points hah.

shyt is probably 5/5 after the first listen, Khrysis did his thing too.

You'll see, it's love here and there's no denying
Black man, so defiant, all wound up like he Nolan Ryan
Ready to take the battlefield with his soldiers dying
Whole time got wifey on his shoulder crying
Got a Miyagi on your side, why you Cobra Kai'ing?

fukk you! LoL
Got myhopes up, but it all makes sense! Wonder if they would wait to tour until the next album if there is one?

Conspiracy theory....bear with me ya'll....

:jbhmm: Okay so Phonte tweeted that there's a lot more to come, right? And Pooh talked about how exhausting it was recording from October up until 2 weeks ago, right? It's only 10 tracks (granted, very dense tracks) and they usually recorded pretty fast, so that news surprised me.

No one involved that I talked to would say a WORD about this album to me. In fact I posted earlier that I asked Khrysis which beats he did when it leaked and he said he needed me to send him the leak so he could confirm to me which ones he did. :dwillhuh:

So what if....:patrice:....bear with me on this. What if they did not one, but TWO albums?! :lupe: Maybe Khrysis did a bigger batch and wasn't sure which ones were on THIS album, so he didn't want to fukk up and say one of the tracks that ended up on the other album? :ohhh:At the same time I hit Nottz up and said his 2 joints were dope and even then he plead the fifth. But once I said the Caldwell flip he did was my favorite of the two he opened up and said he had fun making that one....so what if he's got more and wanted to keep quiet until he knew which ones made which album?

Ya'll notice how the skits reference a fall line up? Something about a reunion in the fall? It's still summer. Also, the title...May The Lord Watch...something has been bugging me about that title. It seems incomplete? What if the next album is titled Us, or Over Us. As in, May The Lord Watch...Over Us (or something like that)?

What if this is the beginning and they slam us with another album before the end of the year. It'd be very unlike Phonte or Pooh to do that, but at the same time, ALL OF THIS is very unlike their usual M.O.

Gimme some feedback on this. Am I tripping out here?

My only question would be why not just release a double album? It seems like the concept of “May The Lord Watch....Over US” would fit better as a themed double album. The first disc, which we got this week would the death of Percy Miracles and continued fukkery of UBN and the second disc would be the rebirth of Percy Miracles as more conscious artist who helps turn UBN into a more socially conscious “For Us By Us” type network.

Not trying to cross pollinate, but this dipped today. Apparently 9th made this beat as a tutorial on how to use the Maschine for Kadeem Hardison. I wouldn’t have minded hearing LB on this but I’m still glad we got the production we got.

Yep heard this last night fire. And "A Different World" Kadeem?

Album is incredible. I can’t remember the last time I listened to an album front to back this many times. I’m around the same age as these guys so their content has always been very relatable so to get this album out of nowhere when it seemed like we were never getting another one is really great.

I’m also really glad Phonte is back rapping, up until he dropped the album last year I thought he was done especially after he said “this rap games no country for old men” on Tigallo for Dolo.

Didn't want to get wrapped in Coli hype so I avoided this thread. I've been listening to it since Tuesday and I enjoy it. I can listen to it on a loop, listen to other things and come back to it and still enjoy it. It gets better, Great album, worth the money. I'm definitely getting the vinyl.

New Little Brother and Raphael Saadiq in the same week and neither disappointed. What a time to be alive :blessed:

He did a lot more 16s/features in between tigallo for dolo and his album last year than people realize. Lemme know if you want a playlist.

“Black Magic” Video

Yo I feel bad being saying this shyt, but I say it with love. There was a period where both of these gentlemen went vegetarian and lost some weight.

:damn:They're both looking heftier right now than the last time I saw them. I want everyone to enjoy life, but we've been losing a lot of great people recently. Tracks like Sitting Alone are fun ways to appreciate aging, but at the end of the day these brothers are still fairly young, and they both should be here for a lot longer.

Sending this energy out into the universe, or to God, or whatever (if anything) is out there...I know touring makes it hard to make healthy lifestyle choices, but I really, really want these guys staying here with us.

We just recently lost two of our best Ps (Sean Price and Prodigy). I don't want to another two Ps brehs.I don't know if I can handle that.
