Does Gargoyles count as a superhero?

1. Gargoyles - it's the greatest cartoon to me. I watch it all of the time. Great characters, great mythology, excellent villains, great story arcs.
2. Batman: TAS - probably one of the few that didn't start off weak
3. Spider-Man: TAS - I loved the characterization of Spidey/Pete and JJJ and MJ...and it opened up the world of Marvel
4. Static Shock - started of weak. but once it found it's stride...
5. Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

If Gargoyles doesn't count, it's
1. Batman: TAS
2. Spider-Man: TAS
3. Static Shock
4. Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
5. X-Men: Evolution - another that started off slow, but after season1, it was over. Plus it took on the teenager
angle without duthe dumb-down.

HM: Spawn, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Darkwing Duck (this is how you do a fun show)

My problem with the new Marvel stuff is that they don't know if they want to make them playful or serious. It's hard to walk the line of both, but in their attempts, they cater to none. I loved JLU, but not JL.

For you Weissman fans, a very underrated cartoon of his is W.I.T.C.H. Ignore the teenage girl ish and watch. It's damn near Gargoyles quality..

And yet this one still doesn't have a box set available. I did enjoy it despite the liberties taken but WB is really reluctant to give it a proper package for sale.

WB has no clue what to do with characters. Static should've been pushed to A-List, still nothing with Grayson...Wonder Woman just finding a pulse...

i expect it to be an unpopular opinion, but i've been re-watching it lately and i have come to the conclusion that superman TAS > batman TAS.

i think batman gets the nod from a lot of people because it came first and was more groundbreaking, plus it has that amazing ICONIC opening... something that was missing from superman.

overall though the writing was much, MUCH stronger on superman. plus in terms of voice acting it's pretty much par for par.

i think it might be the GOAT :yeshrug:

My mom didn't allow us to watch ninja turtles in my home growing up. All because Oprah did a show on violence among kids because of ninja turtles. She fukked up my whole childhood breh.
breh im almost positive my moms saw the same thing, she wouldn't let me watch ninja turtles or any violent video games for like 2 weeks until she gave up enforcing it, she was saying street fighter, mortal kombat and ninja turtles were making me too violent :russ:
