Maybe, but I'm interested in seeing some legit sources... as someone that likes history.

Jefferson/Franklin weren't even from the same era as Lincoln, though. So besides Jefferson being racist (which, if he did hate black people he had no problem fukking them) and both him and Lincoln being presidents, is irrelevant brew.

I didn't know about that shyt either until I hit college. One of my science history and technology professors taught us about that shyt. I was like shyt was crazy. Showed TJeff's notes and shyt examing skulls and all kinds of crap he was using to show blacks were dumber/inferior.

You can google plenty of shyt about Jefferson. While Lincoln wasn't as bad, he did believe that blacks were inferior too.

Movie will have you like

My girl was like crying multiple times throughout the 3 hours running time.

As good of an actor as Daniel Day Lewis is, he even outdid himself.
Excellent job by Spielberg on this one too. Such a good job that he actually had me in suspense like oh shyt are the slaves actually gonna get freed?

Def. a great movie, even if you don't like history and/or black people

so lincoln has made 107 million so far with a budget of 65 million, doing way better than amistad which did 44 million total with a budget of 36 million....

so lincoln made more money by not being preachy, which means not making white people feel bad for capturing, dragging, and enslaving black people. There is the scene at the begining where the black soldier talks about equal pay and it doesn't get mentioned again for the rest of the 3 hour movie, the movie makes it clear that lincoln only cares about freeing the slaves and doesn't have any other plans for them besides that, though they hint near the end of the movie, he may have given the blacks the right to vote.

Wasn't really feeling the ending.They should have just ended the movie when he threw the gloves on the table and was walking out of the house to go to the theater.Everything after that seemed kind of forced.
