That ain’t surprising, Tha Carter series ain’t that good. It always seemed like he didn’t take those albums as seriously as he should. Carter 2 is really good tho. That album seemed to have the most focus out of all the other ones

Was a pretty good interview …another excerpt adds some context to the OP

How many songs are you knocking out in a day?
I work on multiple songs a day. I probably look at 20 verses a day. I’m on my bus right now. I have a studio set up on this bus. We have a studio bus behind me. In every hotel we get to, before I get to the room, my two engineers set up a studio in the bedroom. And I told you, we already have a studio booked in that city if that city has a nice studio, meaning I don’t stop working.

nikka records basically every day, everywhere he goes …imagine recording songs, practically every day of your life for 20 years straight…and then someone asks you about one particular studio session 15 years ago …..it’s like working in sales where you see 10 different customers every single day, then get a phone call from one of them from 7 months ago and they’re like “Hey, remember me and we talked about blah blah blah”…what is a novel experience from the outside is immeasurably routine from the inside

Slightly off topic, but since I haven’t seen it posted elsewhere…here’s a wholesome clip of Wayne talking to his son and telling him to pass along a message and pic to his brother (Nipsey’s son)
