i think shes perfect for the role actually. so what if she doesnt look like her. she still has a similar complexion & stature. throw a bunch of makeup on her and shes good to go.

and for the people that are saying that they shouldve got a "real actress", this is the reason why the last few rap biopics were so dry. not saying that this is a rap biopic but left eye was a rapper and her character is the toughest to cast.

how do they not deserve a biopic? wheres this abundance of artists that should have a biopic? do you not realize that TLC is the highest selling american female group of all-time and that they have an actual story to tell?

I completely agree. Lil Mama is a good fit, furthermore, Lil Mama either is very good at networking or has a good agent because she stays getting solid work despite not making a record in some time and now that I think of it if Lil Mama raps herself, she can do Lisa's style.

Sounds like the makings of a god awful straight to VH1 movie, aired on a Monday after a very special episode of Basketball Wives or Single Ladies...produced by Latifah's company...if Latifah or Lyte had any thing to do with her getting the role, I wouldn't be surprised if Lil Mama spent some time on that casting couch

If you don't think TLC and especially Left Eye doesn't deserve a biopic then you must have just started following music yesterday. Like someone has already said TLC is one of the highest selling groups of all time. They've also been through well-documented trials and tribulations both in and out of the music industry. Left Eye is also one of the most interesting personalities the Hip Hop world has ever seen. Obviously most of you haven't seen her documentary.. she was an extremely deep person. Lil Mama has also been through a lot; loosing her mother while still a teenager and in the process of putting out an album on a major record label to help support her lil bros & sistas. She has also been through trials and tribulations in her professional life, so if she truly channels that I think she is going to surprise a lot of people. We've all had fun making fun of Lil Mama, but to be honest that sh*t is old now. She's s dope artist. In this day and age where male rappers get passes for wearing pretty little dresses I think Lil Mama should be afforded a pass for walking on stage.

How is Lil Mama fit to play anything? She's ugly...she can't act in 99% probability..so what's left?

Yea I got a lil carried away with the dope artist part , but allow me to rephrase that.. she's had a few dope rhymes and isn't as bad a rapper as some people make her out to be.
