Lil Baby album review:
I always hear the Thug/Wayne/Future influence in him. Album cover is fire.
Now onto the review:
Real Spill:
This was fire as hell. I love the lady singing in the best. Is that a sample? His vocals sounded really good. The autotune was light so his voice didn’t get annoying.
Stand On It:
This wasn’t bad either. His beats are cool but nothing groundbreaking.
“I ain’t ever thirsty run into a hoe and I won’t even speak”
This is me. Idgaf about these hoes. Just chasing this bread.
Pop Out:
This beat knocking. Whew then the best switched. That was hard. Nandi kinda trash but he ignorant so it be funny lol. Baby MURDERED that second verse. Goddamn. Best song so far.

Beat slaaaaaps. Top 3 album.
Perfect Timing:

Never Hating:
“I never been a hater I don’t care enough” facts. Big Slime sliiid.
Forever:
I skipped this after I peeped his was rapping about missing a girl lol.
Not Finished:
He snapped. Beat and flow. He ethered Saweetie too lol. I liked that part. It ended abruptly though. The song didn’t sound finished. Is that why he named it that?
In a Minute:
Fire but this an old song.
Waterfall flow:
Dope. Top 5 so far. All these shots started to sound the same though lol. I already need a break. He should do like 12-15 songs because this shyt be all sounding the same. He can rap his ass off though.
Everything:
Not bad. Couldn’t get past 1 minute though. Sounds like “Not Finished” lol.

It's okay. Would be much better if it was cut down into a more concise project. Artists underestimate how exhausting it can be to get through 20+ tracks to like or love 6-8, if that. Change that number to 12 and it's a better average.

nikkas at least need to get back to getting their 10-12 best tracks on an album if they want to have largely the same subject matter throughout.

The beats don’t drown out his rapping here because this album is mixed and mastered horribly.

His ability as an MC seems to be fading and he is becoming a full time mumble rapper. Almost like a bad clone of himself.

Seriously, dude can rap, flow, says some real shyt and all that but the quality of the song is highly contingent on the beats. I'd say he needs an executive producer but then again, this mans old album moved 8-900k this year. As long as the fans love this, I doubt his label would want him to change shyt.

Real spill is the best intro this year
We all know Lil Baby can rap. Probably the best of his generation but this album does sound uninspired and a lot of the songs and topics sound exactly the same. It’s like an album full of the same song. I think he needs to take a 2 year album break and come back with some .
Imma give it a 7/10 tho.

I. He's batting 100 as far as album covers are concerned.
II. I think that the front half of this is better than the backend
III. This is probably not even album of the last 2 months, let alone AOTY as been mentioned in here a cpl times

It also doesn't help (imo) that he doesn't have one of the better "rap voices" to be trying to consistently shove 20+ tracks down people's throat.
As fire as My Turn was, it still was exhausting after awhile with his tone.
I lost interest in this around "Waterfall Flow" and nothing really pulled me back in fr til the last song Russian roulette.
Quiet as kept, Rich Homie's new shyt > This but he's not clouted anymore so, it is what it is.
Lil baby has one of the worst rap voices and without good beats he sounds like nails on a chalk board.
I was looking forward to this album, but after just listening to it straight through, it's pretty bad. Not even mediocre, it's bad. I won't be listening to it again
