Nah its worse than that. The beat selection was wack af. The tempo is very slow for no reaosn and most of them dont go with Baby‘s rapping cadence.

Saying the album is mid is a compliment

Definitely this. I think a lot of this generation has taken a lot from wayne except one of the major reasons he's remained relevant, and that's his variance and experimentation.

It never felt like wayne was following a formula for his songs, every song took a life of it's own, for better or for worse. Even now I don't think 2 songs on carter 5 sound too similar to each other.

And he's managed to reinvent his sound and voice like 3 or 4 times over the years. Wayne 10 years ago doesn't even audibly sound the same as Wayne now.

Damn I hate to pile on but this album is mid. Quavo and Takeoff's album is more enjoyable than this. I think Baby being a star and on the road 365 days out of the year really took away that focus and attention to detail he needed.

Nah a big of lil baby was his ability to ride the beat.
but this album is mid at best. All the beats are the same, slow n same rythm.
