Played about 30 minutes earlier, dope game - great to be back playing RGG studios stuff again with not Kiryu!

I will say graphically this game is NOT a looker.

Honestly not really feeling the combat all that much in this one cuz it feels dated without the dragon engine but goddamn the story!

I was only planning on playing for an hour or two last night and fukked around and blew through 5 chapters straight

Beat this making it my 11th Ryu Ga Gotaku game


Story and characters are as strong as ever. It was really dope seeing all the past characters in different roles it was like a ton of all star cameos throughout the whole game. Narratively I’d rank this in the upper half of all the games, there were a lot of good twists and surprises I enjoyed

That being said, mechanically this game feels like it came out between Y5 and Kiwami and is definitely more of a remaster of the 2014 game than a remake. For that reason it’s honestly a cop on sale game if you’re on the fence about it or waiting to play it at a later time

Almost done this game, and this might be the deepest Yakuza style game I've ever played. The combat feels nice, but my only gripe is it feels gunman and swordman are the very strong ones and brawler seems only useful for heat actions. The side content is very good and the substories still have the Yakuza humor in this setting. Highly recommend this game

TBH I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped by the end, the setting and combat wore thin. Story didn't have the charm of other Yakuza's. Very much a 7/10.

Looking back there is somewhat of a wall you hit where you want it to be over. I think the crew features does cheapen the combat, and it does feel better when you don't have that feature.
