I love Yakuza games but after playing demo so I'm not sure how I feel about this game. Def not day one. the combo seems mess to me, I tried to figure it out how to block but it seems you can't block at all. I wanted to like this game but def not day one, will wait for free month, I don't think I'll buy this game on sale thou.

I’m the same way lol.. I paid $5 for Yakuza 0. It’s a dope demo, idk if I’d drop the full $70. I rather buy Lost Judgement for half the price on the PSN Stoe.

Maybe if it was like Yakuza 0 in a modern city, sure. I have to see a bit more features in he towns.

That fight with Saejima took me 4 tries Everyone is a damage sponge on hard mode, can't even imagine what its like on Legend or Ishin

Played the demo on normal. This is giving me Yakuza 3 vibes.

Been waiting for this for a very long time.

Combat felt really stiff and limited first, but you gain skill points pretty quickly and it really opens up as you upgrade. I just finished chapter two and from the beginning of the game to now I’ve got several upgrades across all 4 styles and fights flow much much better than they did in the beginning


That being said they shoulda put some kind of reload function on the pistol stance because there’s absolutely nothing stopping you from running back and mashing the attack button 30x to cheese through random encounters

I like the yakuza series a lot and was confused by the title as well.
Ya’ll just love giving @MeachTheMonster a hard time. LoL

They just swapped "Yakazu" in the title with "Like A Dragon" - that's basically it. Not sure why, but maybe they didn't want every future story to be tied in with the Yakuza so explicitly since they are in terminal decline in Japan these days.
