Because your statements aren't based in reality.

On paper you'd be correct. But this is America. Race is still largely viewed as a binary concept. Light folks were still included in the "black experience" whether you acknowledge that or not. Membership to extremist groups hasn't risen because the President is perceived as white. DuBois didn't have problems at Harvard because he was viewed as white.

Socially, light and mixed folks are viewed as black. If you're talking about genetic purity or whatever, good luck finding a pure ANYTHING in America.

Now the problem with calling light and mixed folks out is it invalidates their accomplishments and commitment to the whole.

That and it's kinda presumptuous to tell someone that they are or aren't black because of your inflexibility.

The issue is mixed people are being used as the main face of what is black.

I've seen this on many accounts....people can deny it all they want, and we can keep this myth up of black women prefering darker skinned males...but from what I've seen, if a light near-caucasian in appearance "black" male with blue/green eyes, aquiline features (thin nose, lips etc) professes and openly declares that they "love black" women...black women of all types will fall out of the windows for him, they nearly faint at the very idea that they could be "preferred" by such a man...as opposed to the Wesley Snipes brand, which will then get completely ignored.

Trust me when I say it...they love them light-brights just as much as any black male ever did

Same here.

All my brothers inherited my dad's features except me since I inherited my darker features from my mom. My dad taught me to love myself but I still saw the light skin is treated better stuff within that side of my family.
