:mindblown: You can't be serious.

Jay z has a much more diverse fanbase than Nas Has. When Jay puts out an album he is putting record labels on his back.

Nas can put out anything because no one is expecting to make any money off of it.

Jay is able to drop albums that leave hiphop heads, record execs and pop fans satisfied.

Really?....I don't see it. Why do you think Jay-Z admits it that he dumbed down for his audience to double his dollars? that's said it a lot. He said himself that he wanna rhyme like Common but he wants $$$. I think Jay-Z don't believe in himself that he can do it unlike Common, Nas, Biggie, etc.

Why do you think almost all of his albums that have popular rappers that fans like?.....he still don't believe in himself.

Reasonable Doubt. You got Biggie Small. I read the XXL magazine where his people said they don't want him to do with Biggie Small cause it sounds like Jay-Z so desperate so they want Jay-Z just to do on his own.

In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 - You got Bad Boyish on his album

Lol at Hard Knock Life....that's more like compilation album

Vol: 3 - You got Juvenile cause Cash Money was hot at the time etc but DMX running this sh!t

Blueprint - You got Eminem

Now, he's working with Kayne West.

Jay-Z is smart so I give him that and he knows what he's doing.

Jay-Z just looking for himself to keep his name in publicity

LIG is just dope as fukk to me. Im not gonna predict whether i will be playing it years from now but it hasnt fell out of rotation yet. Its just an incredibly dope album

AG would have been better without the Frank Lucas shyt. It just doesn't feel like a Jay-z album to me so much as it is an accompaniment to the film, it's got some dope cuts but the concept keeps it from being in my top jay albums. People always talkin bout gimmicks, well that shyt actually was a gimmick, it just had some dope tracks.

Believe in himself?:what:

OO stop the bullsht. Jay Z switched up his flow that would appease the more modern fans..but he is still the same lyrically. Sorry the "I Cant get with that" Jay wont work. The only reason you dnt think Jay is the same LYRICALLY is because his subject matter is changed.

Bp3 Jay was spitting hard ass sht, AG Jay was spitting some crazy ass sht, yea his flow is a lil more accessible but lets not forget it is also more diverse throughout those albums...ESPECIALLY BP3.

Anyways like dude said Jay Z has a good ratio of the fans he's able to please in each category.

Fck nikkaz that put limits on themselves by keeping themselves in a fcking box. Taking no risks

Like I said earlier...Everytime Jay puts out an album its always something fresh. May not be great but its undeniably always fresh. Dude always continues to evolve and reinvent himself. And that my friends is a true artist.

Not this nonsense of "BUT BUT HE'S NOT REAL AND HE SOLD OUT WAAH WAAAH"...which obviously creates a bias in your ear so that you tune out the lyrical content in a person's music.

I live in the United States
To Methodical's post above... Blueprint - He got Eminem? Thats one song bruh. What he was doing was riding hard with Startrack/Pharrell
Having a colab with a hot artist isn't something negative, but just using them to keep yourself on top is something Jay/Lebron/etc have done
But that isn't what has made Jay popular. His content + his alliance with the devil probably had more to do with it :troll:
AG is the better album lyrically and musically.. both dope/classic tho

You can't be serious bruh :rudy:
I probably could understand your view if I didn't have both albums on my phone right now
I really liked AG, thats why I recently put it on my phone
But that album did not age very well at all. Only thing that sticks out is Hello
All the other "hits" have no replay value. If I listened to it at home, I would of made a thread about it

Meanwhile, LIG has all-time classics on there. Cherry Wine, everythings good everythings fine :win:
Queens story, man. come on maaaaan. come ooooon :wow:

Too keep it real tho, AG is a classic album to me and even tho I love LIG it's too early to call that album a classic breh's :shaq:

For now AG takes the crown :win:

AG is more cohesive, well sequenced, perfect concept for Jay-Z
