LAD is much better since it has much fewer filler/bad songs, just as high peaks it not higher and much more consistent.

Disc 1 is flawless but Disc 2 has Another, Nasty Boy, and Playa Hater which are the only weak tracks. Its prolly the GOAT double album but I wouldnt say GOAT overall.

A good part of LAD as a whole sounds dated, with some production sounding avg.

i honestly think "sounding dated" is a lazy critque sometimes. But with LAD, honestly some parts of it almost sounds more/as dated than RTD does. which isnt good given it came out like 3 years after

The mixing alone makes it the greatest album of all time. But if you wanna get deep in it, the cinematic sonically sound of the album was years ahead of everyone else, so much that Dre one upped it with Chronic 2001. Then you go into the lyrical aspect of the album, the story telling, the way everything was hitting, every syllable. Nah, if you don't have this album at least in your top 5, you ain't hearing it right. Biggie was prime Jordan on this album, with everything hitting a 2k rating of 99

TBH I never understood why people say it's "bloated" or disappointing. Not counting the two intros and last outro, there may be what...three tracks I don't like? Sure we all know Black Shampoo is terrible but outside of that and a couple other tracks it's flames. Second disc is damn near flawless.
