Islam does not condone enslaving free people for profit. The only condition under which slavery was regulated was wrt captives of war. Full stop and this is not of for debate. The East African slave trade was illegal from a strictly Sharia perspective and there is no disagreement on this. The sultans who were involved in the trade weren't exactly known for their piety. They engaged in all kinds of debauchery.

Furthermore, they're mostly enslaving other African Muslims in Libya, which is even more prohibited.

I'm sorry, but diplomacy isn't the course of action needed. Conflict is.....

As outlandish as this may sound, this is what needs to happen.....

The AU needs to have an emergency session. The AU needs to serve Libya an official decree of cessation of their slave trade markets. If they refuse(which they will), then the AU should IMMEDIATELY STRIP Libya of all of its benefits & protections AND DECLARE WAR! Every Black Nation in Africa/in the AU should fund it and then mobilize and militarize every VOLUNTEER that is willing to fight on behalf of the AU.
