Don't some of you believe that Africa should set their own borders?
I mean I hear that from time to time on here a lot. Modern day African borders are apparently evil because they were drawn up by Europeans...if so, then why the fuss that Libya is being re-defined?
Libyans did this to themselves, they turned the guns on each other knowing what the consequences were going to be. It's the same thing with Syrians, Iraqis, Somalis, Afghanis, etc. etc. These people beef and oppress each other, start conflicts and wars and when it gets out of hand start blaming outside forces. Total lack of accountability.

2. Libya was a colony just like most of Africa, they are going back to the colony days thanks to Western Intervention.
3. Libyans just like Syrians are caught in the middle while the extremists from outside and some in create what they wanted. Without the West's funding and bombing....Libya would be one country.

Africans will never be able to help themselves...The continent is far behind in health and education...With every new technology that comes out, other countries leap frog further into the future, while the majority of African countries don't even have a fundamental infrastructure...
Basically, Africa is like a retarded child placed in an advanced school curriculum...Every little progress that child makes will be insignificant, because all the other children are already far ahead...
The best thing to do is to isolate that child, and get him to learn the basics first, without negative outside influences disrupting his progress...

Still, a lot of those people do not consider themselves Africans...They may agree with you in terms geographical classification, but the majority of them do not have that "I am an African" identity...
Blacks in Western countries like to complain about racial prejudice, which cannot be ignored, but a black person is better off in the USA, Canada, Australia, UK, France and similar countries than he or she would be anywhere else in the world...
Western Whites are more tolerant that most other ethnic groups out there...And even if they are not, you see have some sort of opportunity to have a descent life with little political interruptions...
That's what a lot of black people who complain about whites don't realize...

And it all comes down to diversity...That's why Sun Tzu said generals should teach their soldiers the "way" when preparing for war...As many people as possible need to "drink the Kool Aid" to increase the probability of victory...

It's not all doom and gloom. Sub-Sahara Africa, last time i have checked, is the fastest growing region in the world.
A select few of countries ARE being helped tremendously by their diaspora populations, namely Angola. That country is booming right now.
Nigeria has one of the biggest, if not the biggest, construction projects in the world. Ghana, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Botswana, Senegal, etc are all going in the right direction.
One of the biggest problems Africa has, other than the brain-drain, is the trade imbalance between them and the West. Africans are also not REFINING their resources like the Asian countries do. Their is also a lack of heavy-industry and diversification within their economy as well.

African isn't a black concept...African is a white concept. So why would they consider themselves African if it's a white term?
I find it very ironic that the talk about Blacks are safer here in America than anywhere else in the world which is truly a myth. Of all the history of this place....black man has never been safer here. I also think ignoring the Foreign Policy argument is the reason many go to the "Blacks are best here and safe here".
